Two Gun Terry, the way you grip that pistol is awe inspiring!

Thanks SMPGS1!!! I have a great competitor I look up to. He's like a typewriter when he shoots. Even though he is trying to hate me to shoot better I am still a fan!

@@TwoGunTerry everyone will be defeated one day. Better to be defeated by someone who you respect and/or respects you.

That can be a tough stage especially the trap #4
@TwoGunTerry3 жыл бұрын
Great point. I agree completely!!! You must make sure you hit #4 every time. Train doing that over and over again until it becomes a guaranteed hit. Not easy, but with practice it can be done.

Could you review the taurus tx22 competition for Steel Challenge?
@TwoGunTerry3 жыл бұрын
Hi Warren, thank you so much for watching my videos. It inspires me to keep making more! Thank you again. As for the Taurus TX22 frankly, I have never used one for Steel Challenge. It's a beautiful looking firearm and Taurus generally makes a quality product. The price is certainly affordable. That said, for personal defense and in the shooting sports the number 1 thing to look for in a firearm is reliability. When you pull the trigger the gun will go bang. Reliability above all else. Next comes comfort in your hand. Especially with a pistol. It should feel like an extension of your body when using it. Next is accuracy. The difference between an expensive firearm and a less expensive one is that generally it is expected by the purchaser the firearm will have tighter tolerances, smooth crisp trigger, polished internals, has been tuned by the manufacturer, etc. These additional steps cost money and therefore the price is higher way more often than not. Those enhancements normally equate to tighter groupings on target. Instead of 5" grouping at 25 yards, a better firearm can produce a sub 1" grouping at the same distance. In Steel Challenge accuracy is not as important as you might think. Of course the shooter must be able to hit the targets but pin point accuracy is not critical. Reliability, good enough accuracy, consistency, calling your shots at speed and a good mental game are all more important. This is a long way of saying... "Buy once... Cry once"! The Taurus TX22 may be a good firearm. If you like it, it feels good in your hand, and it does not jam. Not even once in awhile then go for it. It looks more like a concealed carry gun due to it's size and short barrel but if you like it and it works for you by all means, enjoy! As you get more serious about Steel Challenge I think you'll find that you will want a better pistol such as the Volquartsen. The Volquartsen at about $1400 is expensive but it is competition ready right out of the box. Many top shooters including World Speed shoot champions all shoot Volquartsen and so do I. If $1400 is out of your budget right now then consider a Ruger Mark 4 22/45 Lite (not the SR22) or the Browning Buckmark 22. My first pistol was a Ruger for $400. Over time I purchased upgrade parts from Volquartsen. I watched a bunch of KZbin videos to learn how to install the parts myself. Eventually my Ruger was 95% Volquartsen parts. In the end it was more expensive to upgrade a basic Ruger but I learned a lot about how my firearm works. If you're handy and have the tools it's not a bad way to go. Buy once... Cry once means I would have saved money in the long run if I had just saved up a little longer and bought the Volquartsen Black Mamba in the first place. Thanks again for stopping by. Please like and subscribe. Share with your friends. I'm trying to get to 500 subscribers before the end of the year! I'd appreciate your help. Thanks, Terry
