Steel Coast Ruleset BJJ tournament at Steel Coast Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Gulfport, Mississippi.
In this Ruleset you can win via submission or by achieving your dominant position on your opponent.
Dominant positions are pulled at random for each competitor, they have one dominant position for the duration of the tournament.
We drill using this often as it encourages people to defend and attack submissions as well as dominant positions and generally cuts down on lazy play and lay and praying.

No, matches go until someone either gets a submission or gains their dominant position. We drill this pretty often and sometimes there are very long rounds, this night it went pretty quickly.
