The factor for both dead load and live load is 1.5 as per IS-456 : 2000, therefore it won't make much difference in the calculations. However, superimposed load is live load unless specified otherwise.

What will be the no. of shear plane (n)in shearing strength calculation for bolt value if two angle section are connected to the same side of gusset plate for tension member design. confusion because if we do rivet connection for the same case it is taken single shear

Since there is only one contact plane between the gusset plate and connected leg of the angle, there will be only one shear plane
