he movements just before Woody camme in were that she was going to announce that Woody was going to plead the 5th. and was concerned when he walked in. (watch her as she turns to someone behind her and the moments leading up to that as she is looking at the door before he comes in). as the defense attorney stated, woody stated just before he came in he was going to plead, Love learned this and was going to tell the judge but backed down in the moment

redacted transcripts are supposed to have ALL the text with redactions being blacked out they are not suppose to remove the text completely, there must be blacked out lines. otherwise its not a redacted document. its edited.

Notice how the judge cut off the counsel speaking about overhearing Woody on the phone saying he wasn't testifying?! Before he could put on record what he actually heard him tell the prosecution! The judge doesn't want 1st hand witnesses, who knew the prosecution was aware he was planning to plead the 5th, to say it on record! He always interrupts people making records EXCEPT or the prosecution! Also, why did he try to flip it on the older lawyer's fault that Woody got on the stand and invoked?! He lost his cool on that guy and then never even attempted to ask the prosecution if what he was saying was true!

I don't understand this (blind) immunity. I don't understand how the state can give someone immunity but not know why they are giving them immunity. They had to have known what he was going to (or not going to) testify to. Why did they keep making a point to say on the record they don't know what he was going to say....?

With the immunity: Prosecutors do have some discretion to pursue one prosecution over another. However, in this instance, is it truly in the interest of public to give Woody an immunity deal to secure his testimony? Is it in the interest of justice? I think we will see issues raised with the DA signing off on this immunity deal at all. An additional issue is they are misrepresenting the immunity to Woody. He has use immunity, and this means he can VALIDLY invoke his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination for anything the use immunity wouldn't protect. Yet, Hylton is telling him he is protected from "literally" everything except perjury, false statements. The prosecution kept making the point they didn't know because it would have been improper for them to put him on the stand knowing he would try to plead the 5th. The prosecution is coloring outside the lines, which is why what they're doing doesn't seem to make sense.

The thing that I would love to see is how Miss Hilton and and love had the meeting set up in the morning with the judge I would love to see the record on their phones their taxes their emails and how they were notified that they were going to do this secret meeting without the defense because this bump is was escorted that morning and didn't know anything about it so Hilton and love in the judge new that this meeting was going on so that also tells you they been in contact through this whole trial

@martell203 correct, sort of. Woody was only given use immunity. That means he may validly invoke the 5th to avoid self incriminating for something that isn't covered. The problem is that Hylton is telling him the immunity "literally" covers everything. It seems like Woody realizes that what Hylton is promising isn't correct.

Prosecutors get immunity for witnesses all the time, but how it's usually done is they negotiate the immunity, and what the witness will say on the stand, through the witnesses lawyer before hand, because they know the witness, if they are going to admit a crime, need representation. Apparently Love/Hylton thought it better to end run around the defense and approach woody directly. But since woody isn't working through a lawyer, they have no guarantee of what woody is going to say. It's clear since he wanted to plea the fifth they are using it as a tool to get him held in contempt, so they think he knows something. The problem is that they can't tell him exactly what to say, and he doesn't know what they want him to say, but he does know they've put him between a rock and a hard place so why trust them? I'm sure he doesn't feel like Melnick or Bumpus are his best friends either but they didn't throw him in jail.

There's so much that went on in that courtroom that it's going to go to the supreme Court or to another judge and he's going to basically call mistrial. Like before Woody got on the stand another lawyer heard him say he was pleading the fifth and everybody heard him out in the hallway coming the courtroom. Remember when . Remember when judge Uncle Phil was scolding that lawyer or he was something with the sheriff's office and that guy was also telling Uncle Phil he needs to do better also. Because he heard Woody say he was pleading the fifth and miss love and Hilton was right there they heard him say it but the judge was trying to blame I believe he was either a lawyer or he had something to do with the sheriff's office of the deputies and also those documents that were said and produced in his Chambers where he was telling them he was going to plead the fifth but they gave it to him you can't give somebody something that they don't want so that's a whole nother issue also that Brian's going to probably bring up and another judge is going to see that the prosecutor's violated his civil rights. You just can't give somebody something that they don't want. The prosecutors did that in their favour of giving him immunity he didn't ask for it they just gave it to him. You can give somebody something but that don't mean that they have to receive it. So they gave him immunity which he didn't want period this case is over Miss fanny pack and her dirty DA's are finished they're trying to do all these Rico cases for points and credibility they bit out of the apple and they have taken too much to chew. Trying to get Trump and this young black man on some Rico cases like their John Gotti.
