I love this kind of comparison. It gives a real players perspective on the amps and speaker capabilities. Do some more please.

How fun is this. In Portland about 3 years ago about 10 of the local players got together one afternoon and plugged 4 guitars into about 8 different amp combinations, oh what fun we all had that day. Great opportunity to listen to the many combinations.

Oh yeah Larry! I really enjoy our Weds night hang-outs. Every week is a little different. Sometimes we talk more than play or we sit around and steal licks from Randy Beavers LOL... All and all just a bunch of great guys relaxing and having fun.

Today I bought a Fender Steel King amp from an old guy in town. He wanted it gone, for free, but I asked him to take twenty bucks for it. It weighs a ton. It has an EV X 150A 15 " 1000 watt speaker in it. I took it out. That thing weighs 20.6 on the scale.

impossible to really tell without being in the room but WOW the Princeton with the JBL destroys the other tones.. and i bet in the room or even more importantly in the BAND it would be the best.. just my opinion

That is a pretty great amp and THANK YOU!. I build many of these for guys all over. Just delivered one to Hawaii :).

What model was the Fender and the wattage?
@65Corvette4 жыл бұрын
No Fenders in the shop that night. The amp that looks like a PR is a p2pAmps Tremendous Reverb that is 22 watts, 1x12

Cool! what fun! side question: what did you guys think of the Peavey Robert Randolph model? there was only a brief bit with overdrive on it for comparison
@65Corvette6 жыл бұрын
No one thought much of the Peavey stuff to be perfectly honest
