If they were a serious band they could be one of the best glam bands ever and one of the better hard rock acts of today because solos aren't exciting anymore but SP are a group of talented dudes even tho it's comedy, they are like a hard rock version of lonely island.

Epic just Epic... But I have talked with friends that are pro-musicians about why Steel Panther didn't go as a serious band? Is because SADLY... People doesn't look to Hard Rock as They did it in the 80s or even early 90s, and the comedy from Steel Panther gets those "old" Rockers (because music) and New Fans (because it's funny) and that gives the band more money and fame that just be a serious band. They are really taented musicians (Satchel was in Rob Halford's Fight). Lonely Island is so good too, good example there!

I am an old school guy, and Steel Panther are funny with a sound that You easily would think that is from the 80s, although They have a "Modern touch" on the sound.
