Can't get enough of these site visits! Your company's work is always so incredible. Looks like the neighboring unit had some funky electrical done (18:43). Hopefully fixing the wires, so they are not proud of the studs, will not be too difficult.

On the bifold cabinet door you show at 8:48, will there be a guide track to constrain the top right door panel? Also are you using your normal door hinge for the left panel of the bifold? Any additional details on that setup would be much appreciated. I have seen the Hettich Wingline 770 which offers a track at the top.

3D scanner sounds neat. I just needed to find a stud in porcelain tile shower wall to put a screw for a glass spray panel top support. Didn't know I was going to need it or I would have put blocking in. I did have some pics of when the just the Wedi was up. Wedi has big metal washers so I was able to locate the screw/washer with a rare earth magnet. Just barely though.

Is there a concern about that bifold cabinet door hitting the wall there? Is there an elegant way to protect the wall and door? (Prevent from hitting, or a stop that takes the brunt)

Love your site visits. As to historical preservation, I get it and at what point does the energy and resident comfort benefits outweigh preservation? That said, considering your attention to detail both preservation and energy savings are doable it'll just take more vision by code regulators.

Who makes those electrical switch covers at 2:25 seconds into the video? I can't seem to find them. I did find these, but they aren't readily available. www.protectiveproducts.com/products/paint-guards.html

3D scan is an awesome idea, is this something you are pioneering (for construction) or already a common thing? And can the client have this data for reference letter on?

Question: How do you install cabinets that are supposed to be set on the counter top or at least look like they are. Previously I believe you said you would shim the counter up. Correct? If so that would not work for me with counter flush with door faces. Love all the detail explaining.

To be completely clear right of the bat.. whatever you guys do charge it is 100% fair lol the work you do is amazing. But every time I watch I think to myself, who tf paid for this to be done lol Sometimes it has to be that the cost of reno is more than what the value will be after! Am I wrong?

I am literally commenting as I am watching this. I stop the video for previous comment and was thinking if this guy did a job in South Jersey I would work for him. But then I thought it is unrealistic to think he would do out of state jobs. Start the video back up and he is on the phone with an out-of-stater.

You can always "make" the windows beyond repair :) Joking aside, what a dumb rule. Condo association should have picked the style and supplier and that would solve the problem. Or replace entire building at once with a one-time assessment. That's what my rental property building management is doing
@sergeyb8
@sergeyb8 4 жыл бұрын
@@aayotechnology Yes, but it's a one time deal. Resolve it once by locking in design and supplier so condo owners can replace their own windows but going to single source (with a quick approval if need be). If this is too scary for historical society then like I said, condo association should replace all windows once every X years by going with the same approval process.
