This is really great! A truly impressive project. I must caution you that having a Ferrous (If it is steel) aperture around the pickup is going to cause the magnetic field to go astray changing the output (possibly) drastically. The output will likely be lower and the tone will change - for the better? Who knows? You may want to use a non ferrous material like brass (or aluminum) for the area around the pickup. If you have another tele to test, you could cut a pickup hole in a steel sheet and just try placing it over the pickup to see how it affects the output. I look forward to the completion of this!

After looking at the internets, it appears that I don't know what I am talking about when it comes to the steel bridge, so carry on... Super cool project!

man that things gonna be heavy!! maybe hammering out the sheet metal into specific shapes for the body would thin out the sheet metal making it lighter and create a more resonant instrument?
@AbsorberofLight7 жыл бұрын
It's gonna be 8 pounds. About same weight as an older tele. Sure you can also do it the way you describe.

i thought it would be this open wire-frame design. I dont know if an electric guitar needs a vibrating soundboard (i dont think so?) but both ways should look very cool!
