This is an unboxing/review/demo and little improv on a Steel Tongue Drum that Aklot gifted me. All They asked is that I did a video and give my honest opinions etc. They are constantly striving to improv their products and have made a few changes to some of them based on some of my recommendations . I think that's a great company to do that~
I am NOT an Amazon affiliate and I make no money from anyone buying from the link below. I am simply including it as a thank you for this gift they have given me.
I think the tongue drum has a very pleasant sound and that it is an instrument that young or old , musician and non musician can enjoy! During this very difficult time in our world we can use music and music that we can make from simple melodic instruments like the tongue drum.
Thanks for watching and if you enjoy my videos please click the thumb's up and subscribe too.
Take care and be safe~

You’re so much like me! I’m an improvisational musician. I play quite a range of instruments. From the piano, to the tongue drums, to the singing bowls, wind chimes, the kalimba, and even my singing voice. I take music therapy, and that’s how I learned what the word improvisation meant. I would always play from the heart when I was in piano class in school. I would practice the pieces that my piano teacher instructed me to do, but mainly, I wanted to play something on the spot.

Very nice instrument. Since a few years I own a very similar HAPI drum tuned in D akebono and like it very much. What I found very interesting with your tongue drum are these finger sleeves. I don't get a clear bright sound using just my bare fingers but using the mallets I feel myself too restricted since I can handle just two of them. These finger sleeves looks like a real solution. I will try If I can get a set of these seperately. Thank you for your demonstration.

Piktor201 thanks so much. I a glad that you liked the video. Yes the Hapi’s are very nice drums too. And i agree that the tone is much clearer with the mallets or the finger picks as they are called. Hope you are successful in getting them. Enjoy your drum ands thanks again for your comments!

THANK U ♥ What is the name of this flute? Is it possible to get it on Amazon? Or at another store that makes deliveries to Israel?

Thanks so much for watching and the flute I am using is an Am High Spirits Native American flute. They are a great company and make their flutes in Arizona or was it New Mexico either way I am pretty sure they ship world wide !! They are not available on Amazon but I do see them for resale on ebay. Good luck !!

Hey... 10" or 12" tongue drum?? Some people such as myself are looking around KZbin to find the difference in tones between the two sizes... But would you not believe not a single person who posts a video with these drums thinks to state which size example they are playing. It really helps should you get just a little technical in your description, and have a little fore thought as to what people may wish to know. Thanks.

Doesn’t sound so great eh. Nothing to do with your playing. I guess you get what you pay for. Did you find the same? That the tongues didn’t play very cleanly?
@MariaCalfaDePaul
@MariaCalfaDePaul 3 жыл бұрын
Well yes you do get what you pay for and I can say that it sounds way better to my ears with the mallets and also I have found that there are sweet spots. If you hit it a certain way it can sound "tanky" that's probably what you mean right with not cleanly? Thanks for watching. :)

@@MariaCalfaDePaul Thanks for the reply Maria. I'm looking into them a bit more and considering buying one. As a first tongue drum I don't want to spend much and sort of plan on using this as a tester to replace later. Thanks again!
