@JonathanNeumann I'm devestated. Ever since I first discovered this video of you playing the Polaris I was absolutely blown away and mystified by the instrument, your performance, and the spectacle you put on with the LED lights you added. Music is my passion and It's been my dream to save up to buy a Polaris and experience it myself first hand and even use it in music of my own someday. I've never been one for expensive purchases but I've never wanted an item the way I want this instrument. I would rewatch this video all the time and think about how excited I would be to be able to play it. Its been at least 3 years now and I'm finally in a place financially where I can realistically buy one. And I just discovered on the liquid light website that the Polaris is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. Not on their website or anywhere else I can find. I didnt expect to be this heart broken about it but it just caught me so off gaurd. It was even available earlier this year and it seemed to be selling really well. I guess I should have gotten it as an impulse buy when I had the chance. Do you know if there's anywhere at all this piece might still be available? I don't care about price. If there's any chance you could point me in the right direction to buying a Polaris steel tongue drum it would mean the world. Thank you so much for your time.
@JonathanNeumann Жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for your comment. I understand how you must feel. Before I bought the Polaris, I actually had another drum by another manufacturer in mind. I had placed an order and knew I would be put on a waiting list. They told me it could take up to a year, so I used that time to save up. After over a year had passed, I reached out to the manufacturer again, multiple times, but I never received a response. I think your best shot would be to directly contact Liquid Light Acoustics via their Website. As far as I know, the production is still active, though the availability is very much reduced and delivery times have risen. If you explain your situation, I'm positive you will eventually get a Polaris. :) liquid-light-acoustics.net/#order

Thank you! I would really love to test, play and showcase more tongue drums - and making the videos surely won´t be a problem. It´s just that I do neither have a sponsor, nor do I have a considerable income from my videos. I would have to buy all the drums I test, which would just be too expensive... as you know, even the cheaper ones aren´t exactly "cheap". :) I´m currently not aware of a drum that sounds anything like the Perseus - There are however more affordable models made by this manufacturer.

@@JonathanNeumann Yes this tongue drum sounds magical and in the future if I had the budget I will definitely go for something like the Perseus model.
