I attended this game for a chance to watch two storied programs in an equally storied venue. I actually stayed in the same hotel where ND was staying. Saw Dick Vitale at a pregame pep rally at the hotel. Who knew I was watching the future great Tom Brady at the time? Great time and memory. Nothing like the pageantry of big time college football.
