Man I used to love watching games on ABC back in the late 80s and early 90s. I do not remember this game at all. Thanks for posting as always!

When the score was 14 all, those Bruins were probably feeling pretty good about themselves at that point. Hehe.

Worst decision Gary Gibbs ever made was benching Steve Collins in favor of Cale Gundy.

Yeah Collins looked decent. Option football wins games at the college level.

The speedy Wishbone QB Charles Thompson would have been a Senior this year had not got in trouble and kicked off the team.

Any chance you have 1997 Bowling Green at Ohio State? I was there, but don’t really remember too much.

Before Schnellenberger & Blake eras as well. This was Gibbs 2nd year of 6 as the head coach. We Sooner fans thought THIS was a downturn…we had no idea what was coming before we could finally get to Bob.

@@SoonerSam08 Gibbs wasn't a great coach, but he wasn't a bad coach.
@SoonerSam083 жыл бұрын
@@BAYAREA-kd1ig oh yeah, no, I thought he was a good coach honestly. Not many coaches could steer the ship starting out with two straight years of probation, one of those (89) with zero television. In fact I believe this game was the first time on tv for OU since the 88 bowl and Barry’s last one. Add to it, scholarships were slashed in half and I can’t even imagine what Gary and his staff had to put up with on the recruiting trail. 3 bowls in 4 years of being eligible for them is pretty damn good under these circumstances. Ultimately only beating Nebraska and Texass once in 6 years did him in. Not to mention never beating Colorado. Tied them once in 92 but that’s as close as he came.

No, just a seedy Senator with a penchant for plagiarism, sniffing kids' hair, and voting for any war being tabled.
