Yep. Was at this game. My grandfather was an ND graduate with multiple degrees (including a PhD in chemistry). He served on the science advisory board and got six tickets to every game. My brother and I would typically get to go to one game, though I think I went to this one with my younger brother. Section 4, Row 56, Seat 35. They were free for us, but those seats back then were only $25! We were usually in sections 3-5. Close to that northeast corner you see in this video (upper left hand). Behind the band and across the end zone from the student section. One of the favorite games I’ve attended. Unless my memory is faulty, the main thing I remember is the goal line stand right in front of us. Looking it up, not for sure if that happened, but definitely don’t remember it being so close of a game. Cannot wait to watch it. Go Irish Go!

I was at this game. Drove with my friend Joe from NJ. Lousy weather. Great game. Only ND game I’ve ever been to.

I remember watching Reggie Perry. I think with the right coaching he could have played better.

@SteelBuck 6 Michigan-Norte Dame 1992 would be good too.

The Bus was the difference in this one. Reggie Perry had more ability than I thought and could have grown into a better QB with coaching. It was a poor decision on his part and the coaches for him to wear #16. It was too soon after Rodney Peete and set him up for a comparison that he didn't have the talent for.

Travel & Music BNC Larry Smith had all the talent in the World but damn was he terrible. Those Southern Cal teams of the late 80s and early 90s should have been way better than they were.

@@allengreene9954 Yep. Yo butt (USC) is in fertile recruiting territory and you sit up there and go 9-13-1 from 1991 to 1992 with just one bowl appearance (a lower tier bowl at that). Larry Smith and his staff f****** up when they couldn't mentally reach Todd Marinovich (that's part of the reason why he skipped the 1991 and 1992 seasons for the NFL) and get all that talent USC had in the 1991 and 1992 seasons to play up to their potential. I know USC had some tough schedules in the 1991 and 1992 seasons, but still, USC should NEVER be 3-8 like they were in '91.
