FYI - If you find it RIDICULOUSLY hard to press down the slide lock, you're not alone. It's not nearly as easy as they show you in this video and you need a long, thin screwdriver with a big head.

Hey thanks for the video, do you know how I can re-tighten the back tension, I recently bought a used think chair and noticed that even in the lock position the back tension seems to be a lot looser than it should be. Or would this require a new part? thanks!

Hi Jordan, hard to say whether it would need a new part or not. Usually if there is an issue an engineer would attempt to fix and if we could not fix it we would replace the chair under the 12 year warranty. As you have bought it used I am not sure what to suggest, other than contacting the person/company you ordered it from to see if they can amend this for you.
