Quote from Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot yesterday: "Kenny Pickett had his best day of practice today. High level reads and throws. Just one day, this is a long process, but he looked like the real deal". Almost one week until preseason! Thanks for watching and credit again to Tommy Jaggi and SmittyWerbin1 go follow their Twitters in description! #Steelers

Yesterday was easily his best day. Made a ton of veteran reads, released the ball quick, scrambled, and showed seriously impressive accuracy while working with 3rd string receivers and o-line. Hes been improving every day and he’s gonna be great

@@thehoundgamer4602 it just seems like all the hype. Draft night you are sold this the most NFL ready QB there is!! You hear them saying he is going to be the starter come week 1!!! Then you watch practice clips and the ball is floating in the air! That mess will get intercepted easy. Same as Manzel. Alot of hype but in NFL wasn't near the hype. I'm hoping Pickett is good but all that week 1 starter talk is smoke!!

@@mikep3455 #1 even the most NFL ready QBs take time to adjust. Joe Burrow wasn’t good his first week of practice either lmfao. Peyton Manning was TERRIBLE his whole first season. Kenny’s already looking awesome his second week of practice while playing behind the worst o-line and weapons. #2 you’re getting deceived by the angle of Kenny’s throws. He had the highest velocity throw in the combine. Just because he can’t throw the ball 80 yards doesn’t mean he cant throw a perfect 60 yard pass. You’re going to look really silly when he turns out it be a great QB for our team.

Brady was a sixth rounder. I'm sure the patriot fans thought he was a wasted draft pick. The great ones have something no one else has. I hope he does well. In all the years he was at Pitt, I never heard one bad word about his character. He has it, as a person. God d luck, young man.

Trubisky is QB1 Rudolph is the backup and Pickett is 3rd on the release of the depth chart. It gives Pickett more time to grow and improve get comfortable with the play book work on his mechanics by that time Pickett should be ready to challenge for Starter. Come next year we should look into drafting O-lineman build that offensive line to where Pickett will have a good pocket to make things happen
@514140mgk2 жыл бұрын
So what your saying is let Trubisky or Mason struggle with a weak O-Line so that Pickett can step in next year and not have that struggle. I say if all three seem close to being equal. Start and play Pickett and trade or cut Trubisky or Mason. Keep one of them as QB2.
@davidsims60322 жыл бұрын
@@514140mgk I'm saying that its still too early for pickett to start. Trubisky is the only vet that started. Rudolph can be traded depends on how much he has performed in the preseason. The o line is very young I would hold onto trubisky for pickett to from. By next year's draft, draft a solid center or maybe a guard get the line strong. But yeah that's exactly what I'm saying lol.

@davidsims60322 жыл бұрын
@@joep4143 I'm not saying pickett is the second coming of anything and hand size doesn't matter really. There has been small hand QBs that played. Trubisky has to prove he can be consistent and lead more than what trainwreck that was his tenure in Chicago which again lost his job to another backup in Nick foles. Trubisky knows that Pickett is the guy until he gets ready he is the starting. So easy with the religion talk just stating my opinion and from I've seen thus far.

We’re definitely going to miss Ben’s football acumen here for a while. That being said, I think if the Steelers take their time with Pickett’s development he’ll turn out to be a talented QB. A couple of his passes in this highlight reel were under thrown and the receiver made a nice adjustment to make their QB look good. He’s also hanging on to the ball too long at times. Seems like he can extend plays though, which is nice. We’ll see. I’m not sure if I want to see him out there this year. I’m sure a preseason game will be more telling.

He is not beating the Bengals, and anyone who thinks he has even a chance of beating the Bengals havent been watching or are delusional. Ive seen enough of him. Hes a backup QB at best.
