As a Bears fan..... sane Bears fans have been saying this for years. Fields isn't perefct, but he's a play maker, great deep ball... obviously his running ability opens up things/gives you a chance to scramble on ...3rd and 5 or something for a first. True Bears fans who actually watched the Bears on a regular basis were also pro "lets flip the panthers pick at 1 into fixing our offensive line and riding with Fields" so im happy for the guy's success.... first in last out type player, who will give his all and has undeniable gifts..... the Steelers robbed us blind with that trade

@tccrypto8392Ай бұрын
The Bears never built the OL and put very few weapons around him up until DJ Moore last year. I'm convinced this is the major reason why he never developed as a passer in Chicago. Hell.....we're seeing Caleb struggle now because of the OL and he was a much higher prospect coming out of college than Justin was.
@justmarcus33Ай бұрын
@@KingMuncheez lol I honestly have tried to block the Claypool trade out of my memory. People don't understand players like Claypool was what we gave Fields to work with in chicago for most of his career (up until DJ Moore last year, and Moore with Fields had like 1400 yards because giving him actual targets helps)

After this game we for sure have the number one defense no doubts about it. The offense has a lot of injuries which I believe is hampering their play some but the guys who are left have been stepping up for real- great game by Justin Najee Cordell and Calvin. George didn’t have massive numbers but he definitely draws coverage to allow Calvin to get open. O line started off really really bad but got it cleaned up quickly and finished off strong with some great breakaway runs. Keep it going Steelers! If we can stay healthy and get some key guys back I see a Super Bowl run

JF1 looks comfortable and rejuvenated. So.. Let’s keep with the facts. Look at JF footwork now and last year. Luke made him change his stance like AR. Fields is the prime example of why young QBs are scrutinized way too much, way too early. And he may be the most extreme case. I've never seen a guy have every single drop back analyzed the way we do with him. He went to a bad offense in Chicago, which got worse by resetting the roster and tanking. He was never supposed to survive their rebuild. The fact that he even had a chance is a testament to how much he overcame. If he goes to the jets or 49ers, then the steelers never get him. I'm happy to see him get a chance. This offense is only going to get better as this young oline gets more reps, and the coaches figure out who's going to be the true WR2.

@DeCurtaRicanАй бұрын
Steelers fans, be ready to see Russ leave, and when that happens, you'd better be prepared to live and die with JF. This is getting too disrespectful. JF is currently a good backup with the talent to BECOME something special, but fans are already getting ahead of themselves and calling for Canton to get that bust ready. I don't like it. I think it's disrespectful to Russ, who has done so much in his career and still has much more to do. Even Patrick Mahomes's backup won multiple games in his absence. You're getting ahead of yourselves. I'm not a bandwagon guy. Russ is my guy. I have watched him from day one, seen every NFL game he has played, and always believed in him. I still do, and I KNOW he is the Steelers' best QB and could be for the next 3-4 years. I also understand that JF is young and has great potential. That means there is no place for Russ beyond this season. I get it. But for THIS year, Russ is the best QB on that roster and can take the team further than JF can. What saddens me about Russ is that it didn't have to be this way for him. I screamed "no" the day his trade from Seattle to Denver was announced because I knew leaving Seattle when he did was a mistake. I knew choosing Denver of all teams was a catastrophic mistake! The Broncos had massive organizational problems and a horribly overrated roster. I knew it! Russ's problem was letting his wife run him. Ciara wanted to leave Seattle because she wore out her welcome with that Hollywood sh!t and people didn't like her anymore. Servers didn't even want to serve them at restaurants. I know this for a fact! Ciara was stuck up unless cameras were on her. Then her fake girl next door persona came out. She negatively influenced Russ, which shows how weak he was. Russ could've stayed in Seattle until this year, the last of his Seahawks contract (which Denver is now paying), led the Seahawks on a nice deep playoff run or better, and then hit the open market this year with $50-60M per year waiting for him in Miami or elsewhere, or maybe he would be staying in Seattle. He f*ckd himself, and I hate that he did it. I just hate all of this because a generational talent (and yes he is one!) can't even find a team of his own now, and he is still every bit the player AND ATHLETE he has always been. Don't believe that garbage about his declined athleticism because it isn't true. He hasn't lost much at all. I am glad that JF has likely found his home, but I hate what is happening to Russ. As I said, he did this to himself, but that doesn't excuse Nathaniel Hackett, George Paton, Sean Payton, Peyton Manning, the Walton-Penner Group, or the entire Broncos offense for their gross incompetence over the last two years. I'm even low-key angry at Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith for creating this mess with JF. They should've had some integrity and traded for JF first. This whole thing is beginning to reek of Russ being used as a safety net. Yes, the Steelers would've been happy to have Russ as QB1 for at least this season and maybe beyond if they couldn't get JF, and maybe they still are. But Russ was signed first because the Steelers considered Russ, not Kirk Cousins, to be the prize of the offseason. They then used the acquisition of Russ to present the appearance that they "were interested in JF" but did not "need" JF. That drove down the Bears' asking price, and the Bears were happy to send JF to Pittsburgh because they thought they were burying him on the Steelers' bench while Caleb went through his growing pains. The problem for me is knowing Russ might not have chosen the Steelers if he had known they were bringing in JF, not because he isn't supremely confident in his own abilities, but because he would've wanted a clearer indication that he was included in his new team's plans beyond 2024. I doubt Russ planned on playing for his fourth team in four years like some journeyman scrub backup, but it looks like things could be headed that way. That's degrading for a player of his stature! He deserved better than to be used as a stalking horse to help drive down the asking price in a JF trade. If I am Russ, I am asking to be released. Russ is still miles better than JF and is the best QB for this year but if Steelers Nation doesn't want him, so be it. Let the Steelers and their fans live and die with their decision to bring in JF.
