Plus he had an oline that did their job. 2-Emmitt smith ran behind that same oline that helped him get the all time rushing record. Emmitt Smith rookie year he had 937rushing yards 3.9 Yards per carry. With a good oline. Went on to Finnish avg 4.2 ypc. Najee Harris rookie season 1200yards 3.9Yards per carry. With a trash Oline For 4 years avg 1000yards and 4ypc. Let that sink in. I guarantee No credible accomplish running back would have anything negative to say about what Najee Harris has done so far in his career with one of the most consistently worst offensive lines in the league! This dates back to Big Ben after poncey retired, the Steelers Oline has been bad!

Harris would get more if he wasn't a victim of horrible play calling . The guy is a North and South runner made to run between the tackles not outside like they always try . So so add the yards up where there is no gain or a loss running tonthe outside his average yards per carry goes up drastically. Not to mention he doesn't turn over the ball .

Why don't people understand that, when an offensive line is made up of 1 MAYBE 2 veterans, a 2nd year guy and 3 rookies (if Fautanu wasn't injured) they are going to have growing pains!!! Frazier is an earthquake mover of a center (rookie), Mccormick is a monster guard (Rookie), Broderick is a better left tackle than right (2nd year man), Fautanu is an absolute mauler (injured, but rookie). That leaves your veterans Seumalo, Spencer Anderson, and Dan Moore. Those are the ones that are "starter quality " Then you get into "backup material " with Ryan McCollum ( C yr2), Steven Jones ( Rookie G), Doug Nester (Rookie G), Max Sharping (yr6 G), Calvin Anderson (yr6 T), and Dylan Cook (2nd yr T). Yall need to learn ball before you start spewing your verbal diarrhea about the o-line!! Even the monster o-line we had that we won the Super Bowl with was bad the first year or 2 because a line needs time to gel!!!! DAMN I HATE BEING A COACH SOMETIMES!!!!

So coach honestly answer me this question, why would the Steelers draft a left tackle and force him to play right tackle when gets on him because he’s not good at that position? That’s like me being right handed then being forced to write with my left hand and then you complain because my handwriting sucks! I’m the biggest Broderick fan for the same reason! I have zero issue with our recent draft picks at oline! As a coach, is it bad schemes? Bad coaching? Not playing to a players strength? Why has the Steelers oline has been historically bad?

You're right. He's a grinder that has no explosiveness in the open field. What kills me is he breaks runs and gets ran down from behind by linebackers on plays that Warren would more than likely take to the house and it's like no coach sees that it's crazy. Or Warren will come in and get two carries for 12-15 yards and they bring Najee right back in to average 3 yds a carry. Never seen anything like it

Najee is not scheme fit. The Steelers want to be an outside zone running team. A RB with vision and burst is indispensable to that scheme. Najee fits a power scheme that gets him going down hill faster, and less reads.

@icerwby Those are facts. Now I understand that Warren is quicker, and he can explode from the line right before the block breaks down so he can hit that second gear due to his shiftiness. But he's no work horse, and not beingdurable is his issue. Najee can run downhill like a Henry if we had that dominant O-line, and we don't have that. Those guys are not gelling yet. Warren doesn't have stamina and longevity, and he's dynamic as a 1-2 punch, thunder & lightening, batman & robin. Okay, if he's #1, he must have a #2 like a Najee then. He can't do it without like a Najee. Henry, he only needs his backup to come in, maybe 2-3 in the 1st half and 3-4 in the second half (if that). Warren's backup would need close to just as many targets as he gets. So, let's just say that if Warren gets 16 total handoffs, his backup needs about 10 (if he was a #1). He has the speed, but he was undrafted for a reason. I like them both. If the Steelers move on from Naj, they have to get someone in the draft 2nd or 3rd or an RB who is still in their prime as a free agent and better than Naj, or else why would you go backwards? Naj is homegrown.

The O line sucks so it doesn't matter who we have at RB. Warren is more than capable of being RB1 and draft a RB in this years draft. Save the money and use it somewhere else. They need a WR1 because Pickens is WR2 and nothing more and hopefully they trade him and get some more draft capital and draft another WR2. This team isn't going anywhere this year. Steeler fans should hope the team does terrible in 2025 so they have a chance to draft a franchise QB.
