Why is it okay for QBs like Mahomes, Herbert, L. Jackson, Allen, and others to have all the weapons in the world and/or top defenses without being downgraded for it? Yet, you already hear chatter from analysts who are embarrassed that they had it wrong about Russ this year. They’re trying re-frame and spin Russ’s performances as being dependent on the defense even in the face of his showing that he can put points on the board. This Steelers squad isn’t defense-dominated. It’s a balanced team. As was the case in Seattle after analysts got it wrong on his draft, they’re trying to discredit his performances by crediting his teammates. I hate it! I live in Seattle and saw every game. The Seahawks were a balanced team. The defense did not carry the team at all. If anything, Russ did the carrying. He was the one bailing out the LoB after their late-game mistakes. It’s crazy how national media can just say whatever it wants, create false narratives, and double down on those narratives while influencing public opinion. Most people who speak about Russ have no clue about what he did.

You gotta look at it like this, Russ didn’t have pre season so the first 2-3 games he was getting his in game timing down. Now he’s been in there a few games and he has the basic playbook ingrained so things can now expand. He should only be getting better as the season goes on. This is exactly what you should except from a veteran future HOF QB

Totally agree! No, his legs aren't like Fields', but his Veteran smarts go a long way. Glad Smith gave him the freedom to change the play if he sees something with how the D is lined up... that's what Vets do, and those are the things I think they got him for..to teach stuff like that to Fields for the long term. But we'll see. That game was phenomenal!

As a quarterback you have to read the defense and take what the defense gives you. Nothing wrong with the moon 🌙 ball 🏈 but the middle of the field you have to pick your spots and the wide receiver has to help the quarterback when he's under pressure.

It's not necessarily that Russ is the best part of this offense, it's that the offensive line the wide receivers the running backs the tight ends and Russell are coming together week by week increasing the positivity of the entire unit

Russ would’ve been the MVP candidate in football. Had he played all 11 games right now pit would be 11 and 1, averaging around 30 points a game with Russ you could tell they’re going to the Super Bowl as long as they Arthur Smith stops putting the Chicago Bears into the rotation.

I'm taking Cam Sutton all day but I know this dude Jack likes Beanie more, and I say no, beanie is a smaller corner and that limits his abilities and who he can match up against, where as Sutton is bigger and has a greater coverage range, if they keep targeting donte and cam, it's only a matter of time before it gets intercepted, donte already got 5, cam will get his, keep testing him nfl.
