I am not surprised they are moving up in the 1st round and have felt that way ever since the start of the major Mock lineups. Fuaga looks like a best fit. Barton is another possibility even if they don't have to trade up for him. I think Barton is going to be pro bowler and long time star lineman for some NFL team. If its a receiver instead of an OL, Harrison Jr and Bowers make the most sense from a value standpoint. If you're going to bleed from trading up, then make it worth it. 20 is not a bad place to be this year due to a surplus of talent, but it's more matter of getting the player they really need the most, and that may require a trade up.

Joe Milton would be a WASTE of a draft pick. Great athlete, but crap QB -- he hasn't dominated in college -- he was hot garbage at two schools. They should use a third rounder on Rattler -- QB is the most important position in football -- take a swing on somebody who has legit potential to be a starting QB -- not a guy who is going to end up on the practice squad at best.

I've been talking about Spencer Rattler to a coworker who is an Oklahoma Sooner fan where Spencer Rattler started at Oklahoma and was a 5 star recruit. Can't get much of a beat .He was rated 3 years ago as the top qb I remember in a fantasy guide.1 year ahead. Unfortunately he throws too many picks in college. The talk is it's poor decision making. With the right coaching to get a 1st round talent in the 4th ? Maybe.

@@georgerodgers2732 Rattler played in a pro style offense at South Carolina the past two years -- was solid vs SEC competition -- and can make a smooth transition to the pro game vs some of the other prospects. Plus Rattler had some maturity issues and has seemed to have grown up and humbled himself. Rattler is a good pick for 3rd round -- I don't think he'll be there in the 4th. Steelers have wasted 3rds on guys like Buddy Johnson who never saw the field. Rattler is one of the few cases where he has long term QB starter potential as a third round pick.

@@georgerodgers2732 Went to UT, huge Vol fan. I've seen every Joe Milton throw at least 3 times and I never want him near a team I cheer for, never. Great guy from all I heard of but man he is terrible. He has never dominated anything, the Vols led the SEC in rushing that was our offense not Joe.

Mims (RT) in the 1st at 20. Move up in 2nd if needed for Frazier (C). Taking WR and DB in 3rd.

first of all, hi. i agree that the steelers should move back but what is wrong with drafting a tackle as a center and another offensive lineman like Paul. On #4 - choose a Offensive center such as that guy from Arkansas and train him for the first 1/2 season then move the drafted tackle/center back to tackle and let the 4th round center take over then- It involves a extra pick but you picked it up by trading down.

I do not think the Steelers will move up because if they draft a LT and a center later. They will have 3 new players playing 3 postions, with a new offensive coordinator and new QB.

Or look at it this way, the Steelers need a solid pass catcher for Wilson to connect with. Pickens, though a potential great secret weapon, is probably not his bread n butter guy (I doubt Wilson is going to be cool with Pickens behavioral issues either). Seems better to have a solid No 1 receiver that is good enough to warrant double teams that would leave Pickens in more one on one situations. We are near the midnight hour for getting that person through FA (Boyd would have been a nice pickup) . . . .Harrison Jr and Bowers look like good candidates for being able to be that person straight out of the draft. Bowers is incredibly productive and just looks like the winner type personality to me. Then add in the needs for a plug n play OT and C. If Khan isn't able to find any of these 3 through regular trading or FA, then we might have a scenario where it could make more sense to throw away your 3rd and 4th round picks to get the job done right for your vital needs positions. (OT, OC, receiver). 3-7 is often pot luck anyways. Khan seemed poignant in his remark that the Steelers are making a run for the SB = aiming very high in the draft.

A 6th round pick is RB or a WR or a developmental OC somebody that may not be cut. Don't draft a QB just to put on the practice squad

Jordan Travis would be a better situation. He is hurt, he won’t need to play this upcoming year. Milton, unfortunately the more I studied the more I determined he’s not a good QB from a fundamental perspective. Yes he’s an athlete but he doesn’t read coverages, his accuracy is terrible in College. I don’t think he’s an NFL QB Rattler- I don’t like his attitude. Oklahoma was a good example of his ability to deal with adversity. It’s best to pick up someone who is a free agent or priority free agent. Don’t waste a draft pick. With the new special teams changes, we need athletes.

Steelers should trade back in round 1 for more draft picks. Definitely shouldn't trade up.& Definitely don't waste a pick on a QB unless they get 8 or 9 picks in this draft

I believe this is more evidence that Tomlin cannot be trusted to develop the QB position!!! We cannot get an identity that Pittsburgh is known for with with Milton or Rattler!!!
