@@stevenkidd6761: We’ll still get 12. People fail to contextualize things. Russ plays his best football against his toughest opponents. He has always been that way. It’s the games vs. the average-to-bad teams where he tends not to play his best. If he opens strongly this year, the league is in trouble.

I'm stating this now Saturday June 1st 2024. The Steelers record will be 11-6. Maybe I'm being super optimistic? However I haven't felt this good about the Black & Gold. The talent is there. The defense is going to be lethal. Queen Will be the king of the middle of the field. And finally having a real OC is going to be the difference

The OCs are the ones that have gotten the Steelers to their Suoer Bowls. I googled the OC history, and that's affected Tomlins' playoff success more than anything else. I think Artie will give us an offense we've been dreaming of for years! We have the players to make it happen. The future's so bright 😎

@@stevenkidd6761 couldn't have been said better. One of the things that drive me crazy about Tomlin is that a good coach should know their strengths and weaknesses. Not the teams but their own. He has a great mind for defense. But every time he meddles with the O it's terrible. He should have absolutely nothing to do with the offense. Especially after the Matt Canaduh disaster. Not only was it a ridiculously bad hire, but the fact that he stuck with him for 2.5 seasons is worse.

just give the credit to the receivers. DBs will be more effective with the pass rush in full effect. I don’t think anyone expected them to be shut down

In my opinion the schedule doesn't matter that much The reason I say that they're starting out with a softer schedule and in that time they are going to be getting even more cohesive now when you run the ball and you can control the clock the other team doesn't get the ball as often as our previous three and out consistency that we had under picket not only that I believe our defense is going to be more rested than they have been in a long time here we go Steelers here we go

People just make the assumption that a 35-year-old QB “isn’t what he once was.” I have been telling people for the last 18 months that Russ hasn’t lost anything. When people say he’s “washed,” I ask for the evidence. No one has any besides these overarching, hyperbolic remarks about Denver, and even in his worst season he was still top 10 in one particular stats that belies the notion of his so-called decline: his deep-ball accuracy was insane…top-5 if I’m not mistaken! That was in the worst season of his career. Riss can still sling it, and he can still run. Theres nothing missing. He needs to throw the ball away more often to avoid sacks and make more effort to throw across the middle. He’s deadly when he does those things. I’d love to see him cut his sack numbers in half.

Russ’ film shows that he can evade defenders the same way he used to, which is why his game has faltered a bit. I dont think he will be able to extend plays much.

Being a QB is not as much about power as it is control. Russ has a better TOUCH than Fields, which is why Russ makes throws Fields cannot. But Fields can get better. I think both of them have their best football ahead of them, which in Russ’s case should scare the sh!t out of opposing coaches and teams.

Austin is terrible in my opinion I don’t see a Tomlin scheme issue he had a bad defense for a while before TJ n Mink showed up Tomlin has a losing to bad teams for years issue 😂 idk how you fix that

Fields hasn’t outperformed Russ at all. This is some made up Boolsheet because Russ’s arm looks absolutely beautiful. In fact, some reports are saying it looks better than it ever has, which would mean these are coaches leaking this. Do you Fields supporters want to be excited by dazzling runs or do you want to win a SB? Russ can give you both. Fields can only give you the runs. You people keep praying for Fields to do something he just doesn’t have the ability to do, which is throw better than Russ. Other than Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, and Murray, there isn’t a better arm in the league. Those guys (except for Murray) are only better at intermediate throws across the middle, which is a function of their receiving and TE corps, schemes, height, and willingness due to the former three considerations, not as much a function of comparative skills. I’ve seen Russ torch teams on quick throws for long stretches going across the middle. So he CAN do that, and he’s as good as or better than every other QB at throwing any other pass. Fields just isn’t good enough to do what you’re hoping he will do. Russ would beat out Lamar Jackson in a camp, and Fields is no Lamar Jackson.

@@adrielthenatural: Yup! And they’re updating everybody on Fields because Fields is the QUESTIONABLE one. He’s also the younger one, and Pittsburgh fans and media want the Steelers to find a long-term solution at QB (i.e., 10-years or so). But Russ is the PRESENT and the solution for the next 4-5 years, and fans need to be more grateful for that. They call it “the present” because it’s “a gift!” Live in the here and now, people. Russ is your dude, and that’s a good thing. He can get you to multiple SBs. Fields hasn’t demonstrated that he can do anything besides get a team to inconsistency at best.
