Man I remember this. I was there, traveled all the way from California for this game. It was one of the coldest days I ever experienced. The top of our beers were freezing. I thought I lost all my toes, but I didn't care, I was so pumped up when they made this play. Go Steelers!

Eddie Yount I've been to 3 Steelers games at Heinz Field. And I have to say, the Steelers fans are the greatest. The hospitality was the awesome. When the fans found out we came all the way from California, everyone was inviting us to their tailgate parties with open arms. You never see that here at the raiders and niners games. Talk about a day and night difference. Another reason that I'm proud to be a Steelers fan.

I’ve liked the Steelers my whole life, except for one year during my childhood when I liked the Eagles. After betraying the Eagles for the Steel Curtain, I’ve been loyal to the Steel Curtain since, and at age 26, 11-0 is a hell of a record to behold as history was once again made on Wednesday December 2, 2020.

me and my pops went from Montana! it was definitely the coldest day of my life (packed light due to experiencing past games around the same time that weren't cold) and also being from butte and having been through -50 during winters around here. I remember going into the bathrooms cause it was the only place with heaters to get warm for a minute. I was FREEEEEZING. but soon as he caught the ball I forgot all about being cold along with 30,000 other people. people who had never met hugging and high fiving. every game I have been to (7) including twice in Seattle #Steelernation was there TOGETHER and in FORCE!! GO STEELERS!!!

I was there as well, from California. Still has to be the most coldest day of my life. I remember the top of our beers were freezing. I seriously thought I was going to lose a few of my toes because of how cold it was. I just accepted it that my toes were going to be amputated. But didn’t care because the crowd and atmosphere was so awesome. You’re right, after that play the whole place erupted. Such an awesome experience

PITTSBURGH TOUCHDOWN!!! Deshea Townsend put a hurt on the Cowboys!" I will never forget the sound of his voice as he broadcast that play, and the sound of that crowd to go along with. I remember watching that play unfold. It was right on the heels of the tying Heath Miller TD catch if I'm not mistaken.

I'm a Steelers fan living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I remember this game well. Not sure if it's true but I heard a story that went something like this. The Steelers had just tied the score 13-13 at or near the 2 minute warning which is probably when Renegade was played. The Cowboys had the ball and their thinking was "drive the field, use all the time, score and win the game". So they ran the ball on first down to burn some clock. At that point, timeout was called and Romo turned to the ref and said "Who called timeout, we don't want a time out!". Someone on the Steelers, maybe Harrison glared at Romo and said "We did". And of course the next play is the pick six. Classic!
@ibperson77652 жыл бұрын
The details you wrote at least match the game stats, incl the time out by steelers. Also note three interceptions incl troy that night. --- 1st & 10 at DAL 15 (1:58 - 4th) T.Choice up the middle to DAL 17 for 2 yards (J.Farrior, T.Kirschke). 2nd & 8 at DAL 17 (1:51 - 4th) Timeout #1 by PIT at 01:51. 2nd & 8 at DAL 17 (1:51 - 4th) T.Romo pass short middle intended for J.Witten INTERCEPTED by D.Townsend at DAL 25. D.Townsend for 25 yards, TOUCHDOWN
@Biggdoom3443 ай бұрын
It was Farrior. Romo jokingly said “ you guys really called a timeout? Farrior replied don’t worry about it. Next play The Steelers changed up coverage which messed up the TE Wittens read..and the rest is history.

the upper deck was literally shaking like mad when troy made his pick 6 in the AFC Champ game. that was also right after they played renegade (or maybe a play or 2 later). the whole stadium that day was beyond intense. and to get the crowd to level 10 on the insanity scale, playing that song worked every single time

Cold AF. My buddy and I were at the very top of the north end zone. If you follow the left most stairs all the way up, our seats were the very last ones. He had a bottle of water that froze in the 2nd half, couldn’t feel my feet till we were almost to the bottom of the stadium after the game ended. But clearly one of the best and most memorable games I ever attended

I'm not sure if that's made up or not, but I know for sure 3 times it worked this year alone: - Woodley's touchdown against the Ravens - Townsends pick on Romo - Tyrone Carter's touchdown against the Browns I'd have to say the success rate is very high, and for some reason I can't shake the feeling that Renegade is gonna win the game Sunday.

That's like blasphemy at this point. Renegade has become a staple of Heinz Field - it's part of the experience. The crowd has it down - we all know what's coming when silence fills the stadium and the screen goes black. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Renegade has contributed to so many big plays.
