He wasn't on my radar because I thought he'd actually be gone. I did a quick research on him and instantly felt relieved. I was hoping for Graham Burton, but this seems like an excellent pick....almost a no brainer. The Steelers now have two young, tenacious, bulldog type tackles as bookends for whoever plays QB....left/right they'll sort it out through competition because competition is good. These young men play best when they play angry....and Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu will define angry in the AFC North....LOVE THIS PICK!!!

I felt that this years OT class was strong that 1 of them would fall to the Steelers. The question was, would the Steelers draft that OT or a Center like Barton or JPJ? They went with the OT. The o-line was 1 of the 3 big problems on offense the past 4 seasons. It needed to be their top priority in this draft to improve inside the trenches and the offense. If fans really want to see a better offense, the o-line has to be improved immensely.

JPJ has knee injury/concussion issues. Multiple Times. Pass on him, try to get Zach Frasier WV. He's a 4 year state wrestling champion with a 159-2 record. Look at his tape. He's a BULLDOZER on the line. He knows how to move Defensive Linemen.

For Troy to get on the Field, he would have to beat someone out. We have 3 starting tackles, while Dan Moore is going into his final year. So if they don't trade him, one of those starters will be riding the bench. That would be a waste for 1st round tackle to ride the bench, or not getting value for Moore.
