Think we had a sub par o line and we still got to second place with just Broderick Jones. Now imagine with Arthur Smith's playbook and the nastiest revamped o line I've ever seen how good our run game will be? Man I'm more excited for football than I am summer and fishing 🎣 😂

A+ draft but slightly disappointed in the amount of coverage from the actual players we drafted. You see other teams youtube channels with each individual having a separate interview and each of their phone calls. It’s really cool to see those moments and see these new guys reacting to this life changing moment.

Call me bais but the Steelers pulled off and filled every single position we needed. This franchise has had its ups and downs since that 2012 super bowl loss to green bay but your about to see a new and improved Steelers football team. Ive watched since 97 and ive witnessed some great steeler football. The 70s and 80s were probably too tier but tell me right now you dont think this about to be one of the best Steelers football teams you have ever seen 🖤💛

The Steelers got four steals in this draft. Frazier, Fautanu, Payton Wilson, Roman Wilson. These four guys are future long term starters for your Steelers and will contribute to a solid foundation for a winning football team.

Tbh I'm absolutely stunned. I didnt think we could repeate having a A+ draft grade 🤯 troy and frazier are gonna be all pros and I'll fight anyone on that 😤 and tbh I wasn't super high on roman wilson because of how little Michigan threw the ball but after really looking at his tape and trying to see what he brings, I started to actually get excited lol. 4.39 speed who isn't scared of contact? Hes gonna be a beast in the slot Especially if we get a FA wideout to go at number 2. like ya, have fun stopping our run game which is only gonna improve with our draft picks and having author smith at Oc instead of canada, along side our passing game which now has either fields or wilson at QB instead of Pickett, and now has a sure handed, 4.39 speed guy in the slot and whoever we might sign as a big WR FA. Our offense could easily be top 10 this coming season if not top 5 😤. Then he stole payton Wilson who I thought was the best lb I've seen in a long time besides the injuries. Then also stole McCormick who tbh was a hidden gem on the o line and if u go watch his tape then u will see what I mean. The we got a 6'3 210 pound corner from texas as well? Good God, Omar Kahn is an absolute genius and master situation maker/handler 😤

The last 2 steelers drafts have been the best in the last decade. Some may not like offensive lineman taken in round 1 but it's the most important positions on the field. Quarterbacks get the glory and are the scapegoats but a qb isn't successful without a good offensive line. Next years draft I think they need to go defensive line early with heyward and ogunjobi getting older

our Oline is going to dominate! we're gonna control the clock and Najee and Warren will both feed. i would not be suprised to see both over 1000 yards. i entirely believe this Oline with Fautanu and Jones as bookends and Frazier between Seamalu and Daniels... paired with our D... we are back! our Ol8be will be one of the best and our D will stay fresh and dominate even more as a consequence. we are in for a great season. i see us taking the North and making it far in playoffs, possibly #7. its gonna be saaweettt! here we go!🖤💛

I look at this draft class and I see 3 immediate starters, 1 future starter, and 1 potential starter. Troy Fautanu is our immediate day 1 starter at either side on OT, Zach Frazier is our immediate day 1 starter at C, Roman Wilson is our immediate day 1 starter at WR2 to pair up with Pickens. Mason McCormick is our future starter who could even start right now on the OL if we didn’t have James Daniels and Isaac Seumalo. But now Mason McCormick can sit and learn behind James Daniels and when James Daniels becomes a FA in 2025, instead of paying James a lot of money McCormick becomes starter and the OL will be just as great. Payton Wilson I see as a potential starter only because of his huge injury history. He is an amazing pass coverage LB and gets to the QB so quickly that he is an immediate rotational guy and completes our LB core. But I only see him becoming a starter if he proves his injury history won’t affect him

His acl injuries occured in his senior year in high school and freshman year in college were he was redshirted. The following year (redshirt freshman) he led the Wolfpack in tackles. He suffered a shoulder injury in his junior season but came back injury free his senior year and won the Butkus Award as the nations best linebacker. He is missing an ACL but so was Greg Lloyd and Hines Ward. I believe he'll be alright.

@@markwakeley3835 I’m aware his injuries were a long time ago, but they are still injuries his body has endured even if he’s fully healed from them. I just know from the 2022 draft class Calvin Austin missed the whole season from a lisfranc injury in training camp. Then in the 2023 draft class Cory Trice Jr tore his ACL in training camp and missed the whole season. I feel like Payton is the player from this draft class that could end up like them. If his injuries don’t affect him like they didn’t the past few years in college then he will be a starter just because how great he is in pass protection and what he adds to the LB core that already had Queen, Holcomb, and Roberts

IDK if Troy is the right choice simply bc I dont know where he fits. Is he the left tackle bc I am concerned about that position and his fit. He is a Pro Bowl Guard but will he play Tackle? If so is it on the right side? If so will they move Broderick to the left? I just dont know right now but he was on my board and I LOVE the guy. The only complaint I had is in the 4th they could have taken Jaden Hicks the safety. I was upset they passed on him and then he fell to the Chiefs which is even worse. Wanted him at 119 otherwise I love the players. I was watching and at our pick at 98 I was screaming for the Steelers to take Payton and when they did I was yelling my head off with happiness so I LOVE our draft but I REALLY wanted Jaden Hicks. I knew that Zach was gonna be a Steeler bc I knew they would move up if they had to.

This may be our 3rd dynasty from the drafts afforded by our recent years of mediocrity no loss seasons. I sence the electricity in the air. Our second dynasty was only diminished bythe NEPs combined talent, filming of our pre game play practice, game ball deflation, and a talented QB, AB and Bell debachale, and our lack of shoring up our OL. BIG BEN and the guys should have had at least 2 more Lombardi's stollen by NEP, and possibly4 or 5 from our internal issues. But now... Here We Go! I know I'm just some bum on the internet but isn't it beyond obvious they're building the team to suite Fields? The blocking is going to allow him to, hopefully, break crazy runs when he inevitably gets on the field. Blocking WR and 3 nasty, mobile OL. Once coverage clamps down, he can just run. Russ can as well, sure, but nowhere near what Fields can do. I'm thrilled. Fields should be the happiest QB in the league.

I hope your right. I’ll be the first to admit getting R Wilson did not excite me. Stealing Justin Fields for almost nothing has me elated!! I think the bears made a monumental mistake not keeping Fields and drafting Harrison jr then another top talent at 9. They still got Odunze who I think highly of too, but Fields was just starting to break out second half of last year. Caleb I feel will be a big disappointment in the nfl.
