2 straight weeks were we are about to tie/take the lead in crucial moment of the game against good teams and fumble… both teams took in and scored 7… both completely changed momentum of both games. Instead of going into the fourth of the eagles game 20-20, it was 27-14. Instead of having a 14-7 lead and having control of the game + ball at half we were down 7 trying to claw back. Russ gave chances to win the game away, playing hero ball. J Warren should be the starting RB. We are always going to struggle against Read/option teams. Making this defense hesitate is disasterous. And of course, this team made its bed in the off-season with their WR room decisions. We must beat KC, if for no other reason than we have to prove to ourselves that we can be a true top team. I’m worried that we simply aren’t that good. We’ve never beaten Mahomes. The first time must come on Wednesday. Great analysis by Steelers Depot as always.
@Alex_Kozora3 күн бұрын
Thanks for the donation, Pat! Yeah going to be tough to prepare for Mahomes on a short week even if they're not high-scoring like usual. I just think they need to get healthy. At least as the first step of evaluating things.
@alexm28893 күн бұрын
It seems like when they open up the offense, it actually works. When they are just feeding najee and praying for a huge hole to open up (which is the entire 1st quarter of every game), it's just 3 and out all day. Still feels like bad playcalling. If the offense could function reliably throughout the game, the defense would hold.
@lukehare17393 күн бұрын
would have liked to see how fields progressed throughout the season. He gave our offense the explosive run option threat. Without Pickens, defenses don't even respect our offense. Wilson has had some great moments, some good games, but he's cooling off. This will probably be the peak for Cam's productivity and they're going to have to revamp an aging defense. Was really hoping they'd have won 1 of those close losses early in the year because you knew this end to the schedule was down right brutal.

@@user-yt9ro7md2hand I’m simply saying, I’d have liked to have seen more games with him to develop with the offense. Now we end up just like we have the prior years. Fields doesn’t deserve near the hate he gets from clowns like you.. he didn’t even commit half the turnovers or sacks Wilson has. I think the end of Ben's career, a lot was the age of the OL, and they just got tired and ineffective as the year went on. And now, the issue I see similar is the DL. Cam and Larry O as your primary Run stopping DL, you're gonna risk them getting to the end and just nothing left in the tank. It just opens them up to have their secondary exposed, esp the bench guys. The D is good, when they have all their pieces, and they can work as a unit, they can be effective. But when one piece isn't working well, the whole thing can loose effectiveness.

@findle70 I respect your opinion but I disagree about the D line.. Cam is having one of his best years at the age of 35. They've been ranked high against the run. The O line has been surprisingly good considering how young they were. And I think people sometimes forget how bad this O line was under Canada. Getting a first down was a struggle. What matters most in the playoffs? The answer is QB and coaches. We seen Brady and Belichek do it for 20 years. Now it's Mahomes and Andy Reid. Tomlin is great coach but just not great in the playoffs

I really truly rather see Nick and TJ out there mostly they’re deadly as a duo, especially because Nick has just gotten that good.
