So many roughing the passer calls in today's game tbh bring this toughness back

That's why 90% of the guys that played back then can barely get out of bed in the morning, or walk on without support now... Trust me I feel you, the game was much more exciting back in the day, but I fully understand why they put these new rules in place...
@happytroll24775 жыл бұрын
Blacklight Productions fuck these new rules people signed up to play a contact sport if they don’t want to play then don’t play. You can’t even hit a QB or WR without being flagged, I swear a few months ago I saw a CB hesitate, YES HESITATE to tackle a WR. You don’t like getting hit? Play soccer, you don’t like running? Play video games, you don’t like competition? Fucking skateboard idk all I know is that we need legit football back as a defensive lineman going into high school I always watch people like Ray Lewis or Mean Joe Greene or JJ watt or even Lawrence Taylor because they are some of the best defenders I’ve ever seen. And trust me I’m not some guy that just says stuff and haven’t experienced it I play football and I’ve been moved to almost every position I know what it is like for a running back to be creamed in the pocket, I know what it’s like to be held or trucked or “illegally tackled” which I think is bullshit because I know what I signed up for and what I signed up for is a competitive and violent sport if I didn’t want to play that violent sport I could of played soccer, basketball, volley ball and so on but I chose this sport because of the violence and aggression and by the looks of it now it isn’t so violent and aggressive anymore.

@@happytroll2477 as someone who has played football at multiple levels (CFL being the highest level I got to) I approve of the new rules. Most players do approve of most of the changes. The QB is a little too protected IMO but crackback blocks, leading with the helmet, horse collars, hitting a defenseless receiver, etc. Those are good measures to ensure some kind of safety for the players. The higher the level of play, the more serious the damage a player can do. Much different to get hit by a 160 pound high school kid coming at you with 4.9 speed than 240 pound man beast coming at you at 4.2 speed leading with a helmet right into your ribs.

@@RobotRebelCinema It's still legitimate to rate someone a defensive lineman and not compare them to an edge rushing linebacker. Joe Greene was a down lineman. It's a different position. No one in their right mind would argue with LT's greatness or pash rushing ability, but he was an outside linebacker. You could call LT the greatest defensive player in NFL history and I'll agree with you, but you'd have to agree with me about the '76 Steelers defense being the greatest defense of all time. If we're being real about things.
@RobotRebelCinema5 жыл бұрын
@@Alan_Page I meaannnn..... That's debatable now... Its the Steelers 76' Defense vs the Seahawks 2013 Defense... Whom ever you think is better, someone is going to argue that...
