Reed and Lott are the 2 that have good arguments of being better but they are objectively not "way better" than Troy in terms of accomplishments and accolades 10/9X pro bowlers and 7/8X all pros compared to Troys 8/6 and he dealt with more injuries and won a DPOY which Lott didn't do.

Man this player this POLI, was a gift from GOD , I remember him coming outta USC him and Clay Mathew if not mistaken when clay went to greenbay and troy went to Pittsburgh i was hot , i was hoping that year we could have try to TROY P , he had perfect timing, wasnt afraid to go head on ,his style of playing either fitted the raiders or the steelers and hey no matter what he became a legend in his own right as a steeler , well deserved. Troy also intercepted manning the few times he did attack Troy. Brady would just spread the field and dice our LB in coverage or corners he didn’t throw at Troy so throwing the W-L record is irrelevant. The patriots had the Steelers number all around. They schemed perfect and our coaches didn’t make the proper adjustments.

The best to ever do it and it’s not even close. Miss watching him play. His sense for the game was 2nd to none. Still to this day, you don’t see anyone making plays like he did. His timing and awareness was incredible. I wish more players aspired to play like him. He probably spent all his free time studying tape and preparing for the next game looking to make that one play to change the game. Nowadays, all these players spend their free time on social media and playing video games/streaming. They care more about their off the field brand than representing the team they play for and the city that worships them.

I remember that play 6:10 shows how really explosive he was against a prime CJ2K, Polamalu was line up at deep safety at least 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage, and just before the play was snapped he comes rushing down for a tackle for loss. Unreal.

Troy is the most passionate player I've ever seen play. Left nothing back. The things he could do and they way he studied the plays of all just brilliant. Exactly why he is hall of fame.

So glad to live in Pittsburgh and to have been able to watch his whole career. Simply the best safety to ever play the game.

Troy P. I call him the magic man because it had to be magic for him to be everywhere he was on the field. Other players want to be him. Other teams feared him. But no one will ever be like him. I feel blessed to have been able to watch the magic. I miss him and always will miss the game without him.

I have been watching troy polamalu my entire life and he is the greatest player I have ever seen. The passion and work he put into the game of football in truly one of the greatest things in Steelers nation. He wore the black and gold proudly. Just look at the things he accomplished in his years as a Steeler. He was my favorite player of all time. The is nobody that can accomplish what he did as a Steeler. Great accomplishment of being in the football Hall of Fame. Well deserved Troy.

As a Pats fan I feared and respected Troy's game-changing skills. So exciting to watch and a great guy off the field to boot. The game misses this beast!
