Nice fish man, but holding that size trout vertically with grippers can cause lethal damage. They might swim away initially but could still have been injured.

Thank you, I use the fish grips as an alternative to using my fingers in their gills.

The grippers can work you just have to support the fishes stomach when you are holding them with it. The same applies to big pike or muskie, holding them vertically can cause damage

@@archerjay1 You dont need your hands in the gills either. Grippers are a huge no go on all trout. Just hold him by the tail and one hand under his head

Maybe use a net to keep sand out as a girls when you drag them on shore you’re gonna release them releasing with respect stretching on his face and adding sand gills won’t help him survive but congratulations on the good catch
