He brings BW Megatron to mind in a few good ways; an under-supplied but clever and charismatic insurgent seeking to rally up a group capable of taking over Earth when most of his kind have already surrendered.

I prefer him as an imitation to Megatron for Bumblebee trying to be a leader like Prime besides he’s hardly a disappointment to get others to follow him by force while Starscream can never get recognition but be know as a failure trying to act like he’s the king of the sky and much more in every movie, game, and show(except one in particular in early 2000)

Steeljaw is a good character the fact he is voiced by Troy Baker is also a plus he is definitely a worthy follow up to Megatron he and Starscream would be fast friends and RID did good enough to have 4 seasons

RiD has a lot of problems, but Steeljaw is definitely not one of them. Probably one of my favourite Decepticons. He has what it takes to be a Decepticon leader, but not because he's just all brute strength and world domination plans. He contrasts to his contemporaries nicely.

Steel jaw is one of the few good parts of this series. The nice thing is that when RID does a good job, they go all in a good chunk of the time. Just wait till you get to see the return of some more familiar villains. >:)

I actually like RID. I think people are a little too attached prime to were they always compare them even though they know that the show is supposed to be different since it's telling a different story, but that my opinion
