Been crazy about them since I first heard the intro to Reelin In The Years on WPGC AM radio in my mother’s car in PG County. She’d play the car stereo for us kids. Never commented on the music other than to say they’re not from my time. Meaning that the 70s music wasn’t her bag. Elvis and Bill Halley and the Comets were her era. Like Pete Townshend said “you’ll always love the music you came of age on. My mother no different than anyone else. Interesting. Thing is I worked security at Lynyrd Skynryd Saturday night. Our music might have become the most cross generational music ever. In fact Van Zant said there were 4 generations in the house. Says a lot about “our” music!
