I don't care what anyone says and I'm a Deere fan but nobody beats the Komatsu D51 and D71 best visibility and great power. Great dozers. Love watching your videos

Mike, I love how well you maintain your fleet. A clean piece of equipment well maintained can always be ready to sell for a high dollar rather than a beat to tar un-maintained and ratty machine. Some folks dont get that (looking at you DP, lol). Just a philosophy difference I suppose. Cant stand filthy and beat up stuff, you set a great bar Mike. Great dozing by the way!

There’s just something very satisfying about watching a dozer push a whole bunch of dirt. Those things can entirely change a landscape in a day’s time. Great work!
This was EPIC, so much dirt work with the dozer! This was awesome to watch and hear your strategy. 😊

The 700 John Deere will out push it, but is far less superior in comfort and visibility. The 51’s are great machines

What’s Momma and Sammy think about the property? I agree the p51 is the perfect size machine. Plus Komatsu dozers are the best. They make the smallest and the biggest with everything in between.😉

That was an epic shift you put in moving that dirt. I remember your first vid when you bought the property, and that part looked like a deep crater. You said you were going to grade it and it looked too steep to do that. You dont see the fall off so well on this vid, but its a huge drop. The dirt moves so easily as its been worked for a few hundred years, its good stuff. A lazy ''S'' road would look good. If you give the road straight lines the water will shed off and blow everything out. It would ,make the grade less steep. The water is going to flow down to the creek, before it had a wide spillway, and creating channels will make it more destructive. Rip Rap will slow it down, but its a lot of water frced into narrows. Whatever, its a classic DB lecture in how to sculpt a landscape. Its so easy to do it wrong, and very very difficult to do it correctly. But you are a master of your craft. Epic Mike, just epic.

Yes with this type of material best compaction his mother nature when it rains it's rock hard but yes I did hit it with the roller anyways

It seems if you have a mountain for cut work, then the fill work is just time cutting and pushing to the fill point….left side looking up the drive seems the most logical…but thats just looking at it from an outsiders view. Love the soil there, we just have hardpan clay…
