Coyotes are notoriously hard to catch but I'll at least make a post of anything we get even if it's a possum LOL.

Oh I can’t wait to see what you’re going to catch. We have a lot of bobcat too. They are shy and sly but what can turn down a fresh plumb little hen? I’m going with a coyote first. I didn’t realize you could sell them. Interesting.

I'm sure we'll get something! I'm 90% sure a bear tried to get the chicken but couldn't fit in the trap. And the guy who buys them actually has a hunting resort, $75 for a coyote $100 for a fox but they can't be harmed.

It's amazing how small of an opening in the bait cage a coyote can pull a chicken thru.

I use just a small cheap camo tarp to camouflage mine and shuffle some leave to make it look natural

I worked for this old timer out in oregon, he was THE guy the farmers would call when the coyotes were skimming their sheep too much. His trick that worked on the smartest sneakiest trapwise coyotes, was he had this mean old barn cat, thing had 1 eye, 1 ear, from picking fights with anything thst walked crawled or flew, hah. Anyway, he did your setup, with a double cage to protect the bait, but he swore, somthing about the combo of the tasty cat dinner, and the audacity of this dinner spittin and screetching at it, would bring even the cleverest coyote into the trap.

It's actually a hunting resort of some description, $75 for a coyote and $100 for a fox. I'd have to really need the money to give him a fox though.. yes they'll eat your chickens but they're getting rare nowadays.

@@SteepintheWoods I don’t demand anything I never did I comply to the beat of my family 95% of the time, sometimes I get so beaten Down that a intrusive thought makes me fall but that’s like seeing a skeleton of a person fall to the ground. Im honest and driven with people being fair to each other I hate bullies and child predators and world dominaters and believe it or not I am a decent person. I don’t eat chicken or meat most days and I live on bread and butter most days cos people are mean as dirt and I don’t expect that from you. Be fair honest wise and clever enough not to let people run you down and only do it if you can walk away from it and it’s a bad asshole your talking to. People destroyed me for being pretty and clever BE CAREFUL your family still need you and make friendships with them the most important lessons are not supposed to be learned through fear.
