Solved!!! I used to have to steer to the right before I drive otherwise if I didn't the Traverse would accelerate really slow and wouldn't go over 5 mph or it would just slam on the brakes for no reason until that Stabilitrak/Traction message came on then it drove normal. I went there years with this problem and seen your video and got one from the junkyard and problem solved. If I have this issue again I'll just order a new part.

My 2015 Traverse show the same yellow little car , TRACTION CONTROL OFF SERVICE STABILITYTRAK. Turning the steering wheel, the angle reading on data live stuck at -396 and at this precise moment little yellow car comes on etc. The vehicule jerks very bad while driving

BTW, I didn't disconnect the battery while doing this but I did stand outside while disconnecting the air bag. I own a 2009 Traverse with 161K miles. The part came from a 2010 Traverse.

It doesn't have to be setup, just make sure that the steering wheel is straight

Yes, when you clear the code and as soon as you turn the steering wheel the code will return.

Don't remember what year it was I worked at a dealership, and yes once you replace the sensor the lights should go off

Took my car into the shop and they said that its showing my steering angle stuck at 389 deg. Would this sensor going bad cause that?

@@oemb29 still have the error messages after replacing the sensor. Think it needs to be reprogrammed/ cleared to make it go away.
