You don't need it because for a backangle as you bring the lower limb of the sun down to the horizon the observation would be inverted and so u only need to take correction for UPPER limb(as it would appear as such) and apply the total correction to bring the observation to the centre of the sun

Completely wrong... for back angle we cant apply total correction directly.. all correction has to be applied seperately .
