Is the new Golf GTI TCR a match for the VW Golf R? The racing inspired front wheel drive 286bhp Golf TCR definitely is fun to drive but would i rather the Volkswagen Golf R?

Apart from 0-60 this will be as quick, if not quicker than the R. Only time the R has an advantage is when this will be traction limited. This will be a lot more entertaing to drive.

Power matches Clubsport 40, not Clubsport S, the S is still the best golf to date, if you don’t need more than two seats

Just get the Full Leather seats instead if u dont like the GTI stitching. I did it on my Clubsport, and havent looked back. These also seem to handle cold & heat really well. You never burn yourself to a pulp on the leather it seems.. 😉

You are wrong, the clubsport had the same power figures as the TCR, the clubsport S has 310 hp 400 nm

Incorrect the Cupra is a cheaper version of the Golf TCR as VW have heritage.
