We saw this in season 3, Stefan left, and Elena asked Damon to stay, and when she died, she, in a way, saved Damon from dying at Alaric's hands. And Damon has already made sacrifices... 5x22, 7x22, 8x16 (I wish it were him) When Elena turned off humanity, she broke this sire bond, when she turned it back on, it no longer existed o Damon mudou, pela Elena ele mudou...ela mesmo estando com o stefan, queria o Damon por perto. Viu-se isso na 3a temporada, o stefan foi embora, e a Elena pede ao Damon para ficar, e ela ao morrer, de certa forma salvou, o Damon, de morrer nas mãos do Alaric. E o Damon já fez sacrifícios... 5x22, 7x22, 8x16(queria ser ele) quando a elena desligou a humanidade, quebrou essa sire bond, quando voltou a ligar, já não existia
