and for being Steve's clone, Stefan really did not understand Laura. We see this in the episode where Steve and Stefan trade places at Stefan's suggestion because Stefan notices the passion in his and Laura's relationship is fading, and Steve flat out tells Stefan Laura is falling in love with him, but Stefan refuses to believe it, and rather than ask Laura outright, he just pretends to be Steve! Had Stefan really understood Laura, he would have known Laura is easy to talk to, one of the things Steve loves about Laura.
