I'm pretty sure the blade of the "sea" themed one is modeled after the london, not the Langres. (They are extremely similar but the Langres is very much a down to earth knife where the London is a traditional sailor's knife from Bretagne)

Very nice. Hi from South west France. The only thing I don't like on those knives is the word ''Sons'' written in too big letters that draw too much attention. As far as I'm concerned, those ''japanese'' and ''navy'' douk douk are much more beautiful than the ''original'' Douk douk.

The original and current occupants of Spain and Portugal are the original Christian (and Jewish) Spanish and Portuguese, the Medieval Moors were only temporary, culturally foreign, Imperialist invaders from overseas. They were the military and cultural "occupiers" with no legitimate claim of ownership nor governance.

i like them a lot, i use my Douk-douks and l’Écureuil frequently . One thing i'm not a fan with this Sons is the mandatory leather pouch , the knife is so thin that I don't see the point, i'd also like to save a few €.

Interesting knives and a compelling vid. Thank you. Did you find the thick blade stock was making them struggle a little as slicers? It looked like they were on the verge of failing on the softish cheese.

Soft cheese is always a challenge, no matter if it's a 2.5 or 3.0 mm blade.

@@StefanSchmalhaus I'd hoped you'd comment on the blades, rather than soft cheese. But in answer to your comment on cheese, and in my experience, I'd disagree. You simply need to use a thin blade.
