Great video! It's a striking contrast to where I fish - or may even potentially fish - in the U.S. One big difference is the size of the rivers in your home country, and the size of the fish and tackle needed to have a chance at those remarkable, beautiful, springers. It appears, however, that you boys got it all down!

Where in the USA?... West coast has some big ass rivers (California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho) we use 13' to 15' spey rods for Steelhead and Salmon!

That's some pretty good casting with a sinking line.

Great informational video, more like this. This is better way to advertise products 🤪 gonna buy those sinking 4D bodies for upcoming season

You say at 17:07 that you use the 39g body + 11g tip on a 10/11 rod. The 39g body is recommended by GL for the #11/12 with a 12 or 14g tip. Why didn’t you use GL recommendations? Are the lines wrongly rated? Very instructive film and beautiful work here again. Thanks! We want more!
@MrKveite1 Жыл бұрын
Not really but as anglers we have different preferances when it comes to lines, some want a light line because it's easy to cast etc and some like a heavy line and feel a proper answer from the rod.

Hi and thank you for your feedback. Sorry for late answer. That combination for 39+11 line is ment for 15,9 #10/11. And that rod needs some grams more than 14,9 #10/11. for my 14,9 i use 35+11. It is Guidelines recommendations for 39 gram body for 15,9 10/11 as well.

I would like to ask what's the difference in the new lpxe vs the nt11 series? Looking to purchase a new set with something like 12.6, 14, and a 15 ft.
@SteffenGranbo19 күн бұрын
Hi, sorry for late answer.. i guess it is the LPX Chrome vs NT11 you are asking for? The bending-curve is pretty similar, but the NT11 materials does big difference in use. NT11 has much more power when you need to lift heavy lines, big flies or especially fighting the wind. Still the Chrome has an exceptional good feeling, well balanced and easy to use for long fishingsdays.

Very nice video and nice Salmon!! Do Norwegians, have to win a drawing, to be able to fish for Salmon? And are the Guideline Spey rods available in 11 weight for King Salmon?! I've been curious about testing one for Chinook Salmon, here in Oregon, especially if they still make 2 piece spey rods!! Thank you very much in advance 😊 Oh I'm a fishing and hunting guide, and member of Outdoor Writers Association of America and in the past, I've given design ideas to some of the American Rod manufacturers.

Hi, Thanks for good feedback. About the cards, it is different system in every river and on every beat. one of these beats have only 12 cards a day, and it the first ones that get them, i was lucky to get 3 days in 2022. Guideline dont have any 2-piece rods. only 4 and 6 pc. We have 11 weights in LPX coastal series, they are 9ft long.

hva menes med "ryggen" på elva? dyprenna?
@MrKveite1 Жыл бұрын
Da mener man en rygg, altså en grunne som ligger ute i elva med dypere vann på begge sider eller kanten opp fra dyprenna mot grunnere vann.
@SteffenGranbo Жыл бұрын
Ryggen er den kanten der djuprenna går opp til grunnere parti. djuprenna på mange av disse plassene er 40-100 breie. Så er det ofte at vi finner laksen akkurat i kanten inn mot grunna, men på dyp-sida av grunna :)

Where was that location Sweden or Norway river, looks like a great venue.
@MrKveite1 Жыл бұрын
I'd say 100% Norwegian rivers. The swedish rivers exept a couple on the west coast have baltic salmon, while here in Norway we have Atlantic salmon.

quite good technics, could 2m high walls in every downrivers stop puckellaxen[(pinksalmon)]go to the upstreams, an could it succeed that, if we allow 6 kilos bigger atlanticsalmons jump over the handmadewallscomplex, without, that we would eat them
