Hi hiii, it's been over a decade since you've uploaded this but I wanted to thank you so much for this tutorial - I've been trying to figure out the best way to make the screw click and I completely forgot those stupid little party clicker things existed lmao

Loved your tutorial... I mostly just needed it for the clicky noise but still, had this playing in the background while making my sisters screw yesterday ((It made sure I didn't forget any steps lol; I almost missed the indent because I somehow forgot it needed it lol)) Seriously though, thank you for this; it was a major help =D

I figured it out :) The problem I was having is that if i glued it to the inside it was making the rest of the screw move wierd and it was uneven when it was turning (I have no idea how to explain it well). I put some foam and styrofoam in the tube so the handle was centered.

I watched a video called Stein's Madness and it was a CMV but they used your technique for the screw and i came here because i wanted to see how you made it X3 It is really simple actually. Compared to what i have been planning for several years now it is simple (Working on an Arcanine or Zorua Quadsuit) I have to lose a LOT of weight XD

what u can do with the candy cigerate (i dont care if i spell wrong or not) is if u take a red black orange and brown chew off a flat piece at the end then color it if u dont plan to eat it if u do plan do eat it take cake markers they work too

if you want your head-bands to be less noticable, put the screw on your hair and then put your wig on. :)

I am 12, too, and I cosplay, I'm Kid, Maka, Soul, Blaire & Tsubaki, (My grandmother is a tailoress, that's how I made the costume) It's really fun ^^ you should try it ^^

This may be too late to actually help you in anyway, but if you still haven't come upon them then here are a couple suggestions.You can check a Party City for "Party Noise Makers" If you Google it you will probably find the tubes that when you blow them they sound like a horn. Or if you don't want to pay $5 for a few you can go to a dollar store and look in the party decoration and props aisle... ^_^

Random query from a fellow Stein cosplayer...how light is it? Because my own screw was made with some (very) light wood, PVC pipe, craft foam and an arrow-through-head prop as well as the noise maker (and part was bound with duct tape). And that was enough to almost cause a headache when I debuted it. I wish I had half the know-how back then. I still have the coat and shirt (my screw needs to be fixed, lol), my coat was signed by Leah Clark and Jamie Marchi

You said you had to take a heavy object and smash the party turner to just get that one part. I did the same thing with a hammer and two squirt guns to get the triggers for my prop guns:P Guess that's the best way to get what you need:D
