i had a moded skx with green bezel bracelet, dome crystal and what not then i got the 39mm GMT in Pepsi, i was disappointed at first on how small it was but then i realized it was in great proportion to my wrist and was very comfortable to wear, not very heavy but still some heft, i could never wear thick and heavy skx again, considering how comfortable the 39mm was to wear, my skx now has a new owner...

I am really thinking of getting one. I am in Canada and hope I do not need to pay to much more . Right now I have a Hamilton khaki field automatic and a Seiko sarbo33. I love them but I really like this Steinhart Ocean one. Thanks .

Beautiful watch, I just purchased one and I got a bezel with the white print numbers. For some reason I like the old bezel better looks more settle.

Pulled the trigger on a 39mm for my 7" flat wrist, yesterday. Could not stand the dial on the Squale 20 ATMOS and it had no ceramic bezel, although I liked their lugs and Cyclops over the Steinhart's. Overall, can't seem to beat Steinhart's value. I could probably save for a Rolex one day, but would be afraid to wear it everyday, like the Steinhart! Although I suppose a jeweler could remedy any scratches, why spend all that money and keep it in a drawer? Also, if ordering from Steinhart, use a credit card with no foreign transaction charges. I started to use PayPal, but their exchange rate was not as good as the market at the time, and I hopefully avoided that by using a credit card with no fees.

Really nice watch for the price and very affordable. Very objective, detailed and useful review for anybody who might be considering buying this watch. Definitely another great option in the sub500€/£/$ range - perfectly pointed out in this review.

Ps loose bezels are easily fixed permanently with a can of chain lube ( for motorbikes) quick spray between bezel and case done , it goes in the nooks and crannies like liquid and rapidly sets like a gummy grease . (Not as bad as it sounds) iv dived for 30 years its always worked .wash after with a warm soapy sponge . They are 300m waterproof dont worry

darkangelshub I'm more like a 7.25" wrist and the 39mm Steinhart fits amazingly well... Looks great. Still wish those straight lugs curved downward! I've accidentally banged it around and the ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal are still like new. Much less stressful than wearing a Rolex!

Thanks for your comment. Yes, absolutely: 42mm watches are too large for me. Tried a rolex GMT before which is 40mm if I am not mistaken. Could have worked but was already boarderline. Whats your prefer watch and size?

The diameter of the dial is simply chosen according to the size of your wrist. A 39 may be perfect for one but much too small or large for another.

Hi, great video and great choice! How has the watch been performing until today? I am seriously considering it but I am trying to decide between the 39mm and the 42mm. Currently wearing a Seiko Samurai SRPB51 and wonder if the 39mm might not be on the smaller size for me (my wrist is 17cm / 6.7in). Can you please share your wrist size? I think it will be helpful to get an idea in terms of dimensions. Thanks

Yes im glad its got a highly polished outer bezel .i got the ocean 44 , i had the bezel polished , then the ovm again a brushed outer bezel , again polished it , looks better . Im glad i wont have to do this one

Great video sir I am a Steinhart owner of the 39mm green ocean. Absolutely love it. While there is a lot of bad mouthing about being a Rolex homage. Of course it’s Rolexers who are first to bad mouth. What your getting is a great bang for the buck, excellent entry level it’s watch.

I had the same "out of stock" status when I ordered it. It took about days working days until i received a notification that the watch was available and being shipped. Yep looking forward to my 39 arriving from Steinhart. I almost didn't order this watch because I'm not a fan of the mercedes style hour hand. I think the design is now too common and prefer other styles.

MY RIDE with M Arrived today! So glad I went for the 39. It actually looks bigger so pleased I didn’t go for the 42. This rounds off my collection having been on a spree since Christmas! I just wanted to add one more piece with a nice metal bracelet and I’m happy with it. For this money and reputation you expect no flaws and there are none 👍

A bit late to say 👍I have a few dive watches and the bezel on this one is easily the tightest to the point of being uncomfortable to turn so I’m not sure if they have addressed some criticisms with the latest production.

If you order the watch to a destination outside the EU, you will only be charged the nett price... i.e. item costs 100euro including VAT. Essentially you pay the nett price plus shipping.. whether import duties apply depends on the destination.

John Gotti IM STILL VERY HAPPY WITH THE TIMEPEACE. If you want a rolex, buy a rolex. If you want a great quality good looking watch you may love the steinharts. Movement is an eta that you will find in many other higher prized watches hence the movement is prooven swiss quality. It looks brilliant on the wrist and is good value for money. I thought of getting a rolex gmt master blnr but am a bit disappointed with rolex price and distribution strategy. Whether you want a 39 gmt or standard.. totally up to you and ur individual taste. Bluegrass Bill Hey Bill.. actually I never measured my wrist size to be honest. I believe that the watch is suitable for medium and smaller wrist sizes likewise as it is quite present on the wrist due to its design. After three month or wear (just wore it at work today), I am still very happy with it and the points a made earlier are true: good quality, competitive prize, i like the design. Have you picked up one?

MY RIDE with M:. Have had my 39mm Ocean One for a month now and just love it. Fast shipping and such a good value and doesn't overwhelm my 7.25" wrist. It's consistently 10 seconds per day fast, but I'll adjust using my Timegrapher. A little play in the bezel, as noted in some other videos.

Hi Jacky, thanks for your comment. I am still very happy with the watch for almost 12 months now. Don't think I'll ever plan to sell it. Good news for you: If you want to get one, there are easy ways. Either you buy from steinhart online itself. You'll safe the european vat but will need to include shipping as well as potentially a few bucks of tax in brunei. 2nd option to pick one up from the authorised distributer in Hong Kong (in case you ever visit), where it will be completely tax free.. last option is to buy from gnomonwatchea either online or pick one up in SG... gnomon also have an explorer 39 version which is quite nice indeed as well. By the way: Brunei is a great place. A bit quiet but has all that one needs while people are very friendly and accomodating. Usually I still go down once or twice a month.
