Have you ever had that feeling, after you finished an anime or a show you truly like (more like ''love'') you'll feel satisfied, but deep inside there's this emptiness lingering inside your heart like a void that never gets filled, and the only thing you can do about it is to wait till you forget about that anime or show you had watched temporarily (and for me, it takes about 2 weeks to forget about it) and even after all that if you are reminded just a little bit about that show, that emptiness inside your heart will come back. Like it's telling you that whatever you do you will never escape from it. I don't know why I'm feeling this from an anime I just finished, I can't even study or do something productive like there's a wall separating me from reality.

I don't know if it's emptiness I'm feeling, but I'm emotionally like " ... " and I have the sensation if I could die right now that it would be in peace. And I have the same thing that I cannot watch another anime before having let some time pass, it may sound weird but I value the feelings an anime has given to me, and I feel like watching another anime right after one I absolutely love is a disrespect to those feelings I had, it would mean I don't value them and can replace them anytime, and I don't like this. I'm not depressive or having any suicidal thoughts btw, just so we clear

I was waiting for this feeling to come when I was about to finish the anime and it didnt hit me that hard (although it did) :( It was a good anime but idk why it didnt shock me like others maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I didnt watch it all consistently and I forgot some small parts or details

If you don't love too much, you don't lose too much. You wrote "fight for love". That contradicts itself. I don't like the word fight and with the word believe one should be careful aswell. I mean, many people died and die because they are believing too much in something. So I think "Fight for what you believe in", like you said might not be appropriate for everyone.
@VikeingBlade5 жыл бұрын
What if you believe in your love for somebody, but others don't? Most long-lasting romantic love requires fighting of some kind... only, more of a struggle and a perseverance than a battle. I think so, anyway. Personally, I'd rather believe too much in love and be hurt for it than believe too little and hurt that way. But I'm naive-ish, and that's just me. Interesting comment
@kaorimikasuna87745 жыл бұрын
@@VikeingBlade For everyone love means something different. So it does not matter what other people think about your love. Yes, I think you are right. I mean love is very comprehensive. So at least a part of love can last forever, theoretically. But too often people only talk about love and do not live it. Most people only love themselves (and that is the opposite of that what Jesus said but ok) and try not to get better and learn nothing about their mistakes. I mean caring about the evironment is a good example aswell. People do not care about it at all. They only talk about it. And I even think caring is a part of love. And yes I think the word fight is not appropriate in the context of love. I think people who think that is appropriate, do not know what love is ideally. But what you said, that it is more of a struggle and a perseverance is more appropriate.
@VikeingBlade5 жыл бұрын
@@kaorimikasuna8774 Kaori MikAsuna Kaori MikAsuna I think that's rather representative of the times: "Most people only talk about it, and don't live it." Yeah, I agree with most of that. Caring is most definitely a part of love. If someone had to define love, they'd probably use the word caring in some way. That's a good example with the environment. So much talk, so little doing... It's also probably mostly true that lots of people only love themselves. I could get into my thoughts on that but it'd take too long--in short, I agree. I think everyone should be kinder, less self-centered, more accepting, more giving, and more empathetic for hell's sake. Most else should follow from that Also, with the thing about fighting... it's hard to say "I'm struggling for my love" or "I'm persevering for my love". Right now, in my life I could say that I'm fighting (or want to fight, perhaps) for someone. Fighting can mean a more figurative kind of fight than literal, in which case it's a synonym for active effort and perseverance

Scientists may stand on the shoulders of giants, err I am to leap off those shoulders and cast off into the subjective universe of emotion, unimpeded by the cold, harsh reality of science, and the arrogance of man's supposed fortune of wisdom assembled haphazardly over the briefest of periods against the infinity that is the universe.

Im literally crying right now. No matter what happens, steins gate will remain a masterpiece. No matter how many other animes are created, there is the only anime for me. The anime that taught us the value of time, and friendship. Okabe endured all those gruesome sights of Mayuri's death, over and over and over and over and over again. Even when Mayuri died in front of him, he never gave up, because he believe that a better place existed. A place where everyone could be happy, and a place where no one had to sacrifice anything. Steins;Gate was too perfect. It's been a year since I first played the VN, but the impact it made on me is immeasurable. I had beaten the Danganronpa series, and then heard the Nonary games was like it, so I beat that series as well. Both those series were so amazing, and so I had yet again gone to the internet to see what other VN were like those two, and I found Steins;Gate. Coming off of the second game in the Nonary series, Steins;Gate wasn't what I was looking for, featuring no puzzle elements, hell, it wasn't much of a game, yet I decided to continue playing anyways. That was the best choice I could've made. It was tough getting through the VN, I constantly had to take breaks due to second hand embarrassment from Okabes actions. He was a complete idiot, and I could barely stand him at times, yet the story was too interesting to stop. Eventually, I just couldn't stop playing. I hadn't even realized that Okabe had essentially become another person until it was pointed out by the VN. The writers wrote him so brilliantly that he went from an annoying idiot, to a character who's so incredibly relatable that you can even relate to the way he acted at first! He's Kyoma because he wants the world to be interesting for Mayuri. He created the Future Gadget Lab as a way to make friends. Okabe truly cares about those around him. He teaches Luka (Ruka for those who watched the anime) Samadare to help his confidence, he calls Mayuri his hostage so she feels she has a purpose, he let's Daru hangout at the lab so they can screw around with technology, and he tries helping Kurisu with her father. He feels like a real person! He seems almost completely different to how he really is at first glance.

Steins gate did not do anything to stand atop the peak like other stories, but it touched the peak and consistently stayed there hanging off through the entire series. Even the best series there are will have moments where they fall off this peak, not Steins;Gate. It stayed a consistent 9.5 not once dipping below that. We are the creations of god, who are destined to surpass the rules of this existence in order to surpass god. Time travel is not a theory but a possible way to change our mistakes to achive this goal earlier than we are able to do right now. Philosophie and since are products from our understanding and thinking and ... well imagination. Everything is existing in an illusion, so we can manipulate this illusion what is called world. The moment we break this illusion we stop to exist. We stop thinking, understanding and living for a moment and die at this very process, just to reawake in a different timeline with our former body and memories. But as punishment we dont remember that we travelled back in time at some point and start living to the point we start travelling through time all over again. God envies us because at some point we will be capable to break his laws. What did I just write instead of learning for my math test tomorrow?!

To the point where watching them mess in the laboratory they are renting feels like side lining while your friends are doing some dumb stuff...to the point where you feel all the sadness and impact of the strongest scenes, where you can truly get invested, interested and captured in all the concepts it shows and talks about. The temporality is a complicated subject to approach, this anime, this masterpiece, shows us what is most tragic, the worst torture for a human. Imagine meeting a great person, someone you would love more than anything, you have unforgettable moments together, you have amazing friends, you create memories, your life would be so happy. Now, imagine that will never happen because you are just not in this universe line. In each temporality you will find a certain happiness but at the cost of other tragedies. Would you be prepared to accept this? Would you rather stay where you are, never knowing what your life could have been like? Imagine that you manage to change the timeline, but something happens that you cannot accept. Will you return to your original universe, you will be the only one to keep the memories, you will not be able to share them with anyone. Would you accept this loneliness? The people you loved in the other life will have forgotten you. Everything you went through together no longer exists. Traveling through time makes humans dream. But in the end, the only person who will be destroyed is us.

Listening to this just make me wonder how sad and painful Okabe have been in Beta line. It's not that in alpha he gonna feel better, but at least he would have Kurisu and Daru by his said understanding his pain. Whereas in Beta Lab mems don't really know who Kurisu is and they can only form a vague idea even they heard the story from him let along Okabe doesn't really want Mayuri to carry this weight, which in the end he carried it all by himself. Good he had happy ending, even the film and OVA are not canon, I will still accept them as a closure for Okabe and Kurisu. It's too cruel to separate them after all they have experienced.

I sat here thinking the whole time while listening to this music, thinking about time and how it works What exactly is time? Is it a concept that changes with our unconscious perspective of the world? Is it because of that that we sometimes feel an hour fly by like it's a minute or a second feels like days? Or is time a law in this universe that bends and changes with the circumstances that surrounds it? It could even be a creature, a being that we can't comprehend it to see it but we can feel it's effect on the world and understand that it exists. How did time come to be to begin with? And what existed before time? Is there a being that transcends time and space? It could be possible if it existed before time and space did, it's by logic that if something existed before another then it doesn't need the latter to keep on existing, and if it transcends time and space then it can bend them to its will, or it could even be that it's the one that created both time and space Ah, and now the music stopped, that's a whole hour of thinking of something that no one really fully understand, so I'll end it here

As it appears to me-- time is simply an illusion, time depends on your brain's mode of operation. I would like to say that how fast your brain's neurons are firing determines perceived time, but the issue is when watching anime or TV or any other relaxing activity time goes by incredibly fast, even though you're not doing anything cognitively challenging, and on the opposite scenario when say studying, which is cognitively demanding, time also goes by incredibly fast. As for the cause of this perceived time by the brain, it would require more inquiry scrutiny on my part. So simply all I can say now is it all depends variable modes of operation of the brain. Time is not any plastic attribute of the universe, it's all constructed by the brain and the amount of mass you're close too (which the latter would be negligible for any human currently in existence except astronauts). For example, in Einstein's theory of relativity he proves that mass bends light and essentially time, for a second imagine 2 people are close to a black hole in varying distances-- the person whose close to the black hole FaceTiming the one far away from the black hole would appear to be talking extremely slow, and while the other person far away from the black hole FaceTiming the person close to the black hole would appear to be talking very fast; however, both persons would feel as they always do, except they would perceive the other person's time differently. Suggesting that time is not set in stone within the universe, and perceived time is based on variable mode of operation within the brain. Which an interesting implication of this conclusion is that it's highly likely that people perceive time differently; I could experience time lets say 1.5x faster than you (if you could even find an objective measurement of perceived time between 2 people), or vice versa. And as always, El Psy Congroo.

Hearing this one OST is enough to make me fill up with tears. Upon hearing this, my mind is instantly taken back to all of the emotional parts of this beautiful story that deeply resonated with me to the very core of my being. No other fictional story has ever emotionally affected me on the same level as Steins;Gate did, and it's highly likely that nothing else will. In the first half I was in stitches, laughing at the wacky dialogue and the amazing character interactions, and truly getting to know these characters as if they were real people. The time travel rules and mechanics fascinated me, and I was really interested in the direction that the story was headed. But nothing could have prepared me for the absolute roller coaster that was the second half. All of that build up came together to create the most tension filled, emotionally charged piece of fiction I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I lost track of how many times I burst into absolute tears in that second half, I truly felt the desperation and gravitas of the whole situation. I felt as if I was Okabe himself in those desperate moments, it was beyond harrowing. it's no exaggeration to say that this visual novel and story has changed my life forever, and completely altered the way I look at story telling, particularly from an emotional aspect. At least once a day, I reflect on Okabe's journey, and am always reminded of how much it means to me. Apologies for the length of this comment, but I truly wanted to express how much this story means to me as a person. I hope that you all enjoyed Steins;Gate as well, and that it had a similar effect on you too. El Psy Kongroo.

I've tried to rewatch steins; gate again but... it's so good that it's a masterpiece the way it makes you feel...but....the way it makes you feel. I think the reason I can't bring myself to rewatch it is because when I first watched it I had to take breaks to even try to finish the anime. Was it really that sad? Idk I don't remember. Though when I think about it I just get really depressed. When I saw it for the first time I was going through some things. I was stuck lost in life and I still am, even after so many years. I had fucked up ... failed ... over and over again. I had lost many things I cherished. I had nothing left. I shut myself from the rest of the world had no friends no family for the ones I thought where, were nothing but ash, dust, empty words. So I lost myself in the world of anime and its stories. I replaced the characters in the shows as my own family and friends so I never felt alone. But when a character were to die it felt like I was reliving my past pains and so to fill that void I watch more and more anime. It became a way for me to cope with the pain. The characters became my family and friends. I knew what I was doing I was aware but even so, I didn't stop. I never felt alone I had the characters in the stories with me. Though when the episode or show ended I stared at nothing but an empty black screen, seeing nothing but the empty soulless reflection of myself. Those moments were the hardest as I saw that was reality. This continued for 4 years in that time I barely graduated then isolated myself. I worked only to stay alive and pay rent. Working weekends and then isolated the rest of the days. I didn't go to college i had dreams but only that dreams. Things I wanted to do but always kept failing. I didn't know why I was still going still trying something inside me always kept dreaming kept wanting to strive and do something but then I always overthought myself and talked myself out of it. So I watched Steins gate he went to the past to change it but even with that ability he still failed over and over again reliving those moments over and over again. It felt real it felt relatable I failed over and over again and every time a show ended or a character killed it was as if I was experiencing the loss of .. ... all over again. No matter what i did i couldn't do anything about it. So here i stand in the same place 7 years later and pleading for help and telling strangers my story because every time i told someone else IRL they never understood it or laughed about it to avoid the conversation. You don't know me i don't know me nor you. So why am I still here why am I still alive. Why haven't i ended it what is keeping me here i have nothing holding me back here. So why? What is my purpose. Or am I just scared that i cant even end it. Pathetic. Though that's the easy way out. I could study and work like everyone else by....why ....for what....why would I....for what reason ....to make someone else happy ... I don't care. ....to help someone else achieve their dreams or get a little richer.... why .... If I can't live my life the way I want to then why live at all.
