Making Star babies with this wonderful creature of the dance would be great along the shores of Orion and on the rings of Saturn.

Saw them in Chicago back in the early 70's. Up til then I never heard of them. With nothing better to do I took a chance on a $16.00 or $17.00 ticket to see them along with a couple other bands. They stole the show and I became a lifelong fan. Favorite HW LP? For me it's Space Ritual" a live album with loads of experimentation. Dr. Technical is a true pioneer in Space Rock/Prog. The bands recipe? Three simple Chords and lots of instrumental innovation. Lemmy:..'Music is art for the senses, whether soft, or hard, ode, ballad, Blues, rock, or pop, the louder the better.

Why were the tickets so high? Im from Chicago, in 1979 i bought tickets with my own money at 15 for Devo at the Aragon fir $12.00.

Did a little Wiki search and found that this track is actually part of an album titled "White Zone" released in 1995 by Hawkwind recording under the name Psychedelic Warriors. Like their "Hawklords" album, it appears to be a sort of side trip taken by the band. Very much more commercial sounding than you'd usually get out of their regular output. I kind of like it, but still prefer them from their classic mid-1970s era. Ethereal space-rock type of stuff.
@robinhazell6019 Жыл бұрын
The Hawklords - 25 Years on album was NOT a side trip. Because of a contractual dispute with their record labael, they made an album under the name of Hawkords.

I really love those melodic spacey tracks from Hawkwind.If they always play like this (for me) they would be the perfect band. I can't stand their punk-rock'n roll side as they play on "Silver Machine" or "Watching the grass grow".

Umm, I think Ozric Tentacles were highly influenced by Hawkwind. Pink Floyd and Hawkwind have similar roots in the London Underground Muic movement of the 70's.
