@@hologram.444 It should only affect weapons, but be careful as this applies to torchlight attachment as well and you cant use them unless you aim (very annoying close range as you usually want to light before shooting without having to aim most of the time)

I’m new to the game & i do appreciate those tips. Because in rust mostly everyone is toxic and when you ask any question they just make fun of you for being new to the game or just ignore, so no way to get answers or learning.. especially if you’re a solo player. Strongly recommend starting out on low-medium pop modded servers like a 5x solo/duo/trio, not only does it reduce the grind enough to let you get a foothold and learn the game faster, but you'll find a lot more people who are glad to answer questions and help lift up noobs instead of just trying to ruin your day

My first wipe ever I had someone take advantage and raid me after asking questions about taking oil in chat. How you gonna take advantage of an obvious first timer like that? Lol. But I did learn a lot. My base design was decrepit.

Nice vid, The ‘Seen Now’ is new to me! Rust seems to crash every time steam patches and updates for me. I’ll get disconnected and sure enough look in my steam downloads and it’s always rust updated about an hour before. My friends use the same steam settings, any advice?

why is demolish sound removed when max gibs is set to -1, that means enemy can demolish their buildings and peak you and you wont even know

Note that with shop front --- if you have that bulge outside, people can use it as jump point up to your base. If you realy want to use it... do it at your entrance where it leads to nowhere. Oh and....a cube and 2 doors to tc doesnt help. People can still spear inside your wall and destroying it and keep you killed and on spawn timer. Its much better to use a furance jump point out of base, as it can cause enemy players to get stuck if they dont have ladder researched. Heck i trapped people by simply baiting them with furance with just some wood burning, removing furance and then waiting till they kill themselfs.

Yeah rust still sucks its only a pvp game, used to be more pvp/pve based with the zombies and stuff on rust legacy.. It was fun, everything tasted like chicken even the bears that barked.. Back then you would join the game and others would be like nice and friendly and you would make friends to like join their location then end up with a bunch of people controlling one small portion of the map and you would end up with gang wars for stepping on enemy turf with the people up the hill. The one guy would have a tower and be on lookout during the nights, you would expand and let more people in and guide people through with safe passage who was just fellow travellers who some times joined up with you. Then you would with your friends go raid some ones base who was enemy as they attacked your friend, you would come back and then fight because others took advantage of your territory being unsecured.. it was great back then now a days you jump in an die instantly because some **ck decided that an auto turret at a spawn location is brilliant so the moment you join that server and get a bad spawn which would happen every few deaths instead dead again.. You go hit rocks for an hour and trees and die when you go to start doing anything because a high geared player would turn up out of no where and kill you just for a few rocks and wood. Rust is awful the player base sucks and when you are offline your base is unprotected and raided instantly or ruined by hackers.. Its the worst experience ever.. There is literally no point and no goal in rust its just make other person die until you bored then go offline.. Everything you do is worthless and there is no adventure to it at all and no satisfaction to doing anything because every tiny little thing is such a chore. There is no achievement its like oh finally i got some rocks! :D.. oh well im dead.. that was pointless, time wasted could of actually had fun in another game....

0:03 unfortunately the number of players is decreasing, not increasing...the game needs double the number of players it has now. Too many cheaters and metas make it boring...this is said by someone who has played this game since the beginning of 2014 and has 20k hours...the last time I went in, they just added the submarines, I was curious...

I cant stress this enough but please think about what content your audience needs and who your trying to help since a lot of people will need different tips for different stages of them learning the game and its best to give suggestions not say its a mistake to do something. The number of rust players isn't growing. While im saying this on my main steam account I have 1 friend online. 13 who played it recently, and 159 who played it in the past. I got 5.6k hours on the game rn. Object quality being lowered also will make it harder at times to fight in rock formations and to see monuments at far distances. 50 is often best for it since it can change the shape of parts of monuments, rock formations, buildings, items, a lot of different stuff. Old rust players used to set everything in mesh quality to half because it wont have any real change on how everything looks while at the same time making your game run better. You cant say its a mistake to have it off 0 when it gives literally 1 tiny benefit thats only been found to help at 1 spot at an area where most people prob wouldn't be fighting at since if you wiff they can just swing you or run away. Why would you ever want max gibs to be -1 and to show nothing though. It may help performance by a tiny bit to see nothing but wouldn't it be nice to be able to see what was last destroyed if you are countering a raid or not right there watching what was blown. But you should name the video something else instead of "mistakes in rust that ruin your game" when you mix settings, EXTREMELY SIMPLE building tips that most people learn overtime or from a friend since lets be honest. If you get rust and don't have any idea about how to build a base or what your doing, you will prob have done it for a friend who can show you some stuff. I found the game from Rcham years ago and always built 2by2 bases and big ones when I was new and learned building stuff from experience. The players im finding who are new all have friends or watch videos and copy those bases. The tip for upgrading frames to metal while in a stone base doesn't really solve anything, often times if they use half walls like most people do, they can find the loot room thanks to a building plan. If your going to raid a 2by2, there is 3 things that can be thought of to raid them. Where do you hear them in the base and walking at. Where is the doorway at, and do I have 4 rockets to burn. Either just blow it all up, Go for the corner farthest from the door, or blow where you hear them going to since if they got a code lock on tc, you can hear them open it or even if they all go by 1 corner to loot and gear up. You shouldn't say its a mistake to use gates instead of houses. People who don't know anything about gate houses will prob have issues building them at first and your better off showing a better airlock or just say to try and use wood ones since you can trade in stone for wood at outpost and make it in tier 1 for easy access to the blueprints. Then as an added benefit, wood ones you cant stand on the roof of when YOU PLACE THE GATE BACKWARDS. it doesn't matter if they can easily jump in. They also have to get out and you should talk about simple electricity aswell then to defend the inside in this tutorial of sorts since its more of a tutorial than a tips and tricks. But hazy baiting is a common thing and I shoot every naked with a sash already. Don't suggest to hazy bait, say that they should be aware of it and how to watch out for it. If someone needs this video and has a big enough base to have kits throughout the base and to repair and fight raiders, ill be in shock. But its not always bad to farm a full inv you should say that its good to prioritize loot though. Like if you get a sar from a crate and your just starting to save it, bring it to your base or stash it. Remind people that often times its not about what you can get its about progressing. Everyone can get a box of rockets, you can run monuments, farm, raid, steal. But if you go out over and over trying to run to outpost or across the map with loot, your risking a lot and every death can mean others progress and you don't.
