Life can be hard sometimes but something I learned at age 40 with a chronic disease is that the worst feeling is loosing yourself, more than loosing someones you had a relationship with. The reason is you have many second chances and to grow from breakups but from a health crisis, it's so difficult to live a normal life and with fear of not seeing tomorrow. So, keep your head up. Never let anyone break your spark. There is always someone better for you.

@@lisastenzel5713 thank you so much! I developed a chronic eye disease working with kids (I was a teacher). I got herpedic eye ( Scientific name "Keratitis Dendritic eye). I take medication for life to keep episodes from reoccuring (valacyclovir). It has bad side effects. Yet, I still get reoccurances if I get sick with a high fever. So this last time I got covid and a respiratory infection. And that's when I realized I had to stop working with kids. I could not handle getting sick a lot. Needless to say, in my 4th year of having this eye problem, I have had 4 to 5 epiosdes. And it may not be sever if you get a cold sore in your mouth but in your eye, you can loose your eyesight. It damages the cornea and it can spread to the retina. In sever cases to the brain. Right now, virologist are trying to develop a vaccine for herpes simplex 1. It may be out in two years or so. But I pray to God that the government approves for it to be released soon. I can't stress anymore, I can be out in the sun as much, can excerise more than 30mins a day, and I had to become vegan to keep myself health. There is no awarness about this. If children or anybody has a cold sore on their lip, they can cross contaminate by touching their hands and then objects, coughing on peoples faces,etc.
