Stellar Blade - Kunoichi (New Costume) Disc vs Digital - B2P - PS5

It looks like this costume was already in the v1.000, so if you have the disc version, you can still play and compare the early version. I don't think it's censored but a rough early version like all the other costumes in the disc... (my guess). Since I have both disc and digital here is a quick comparison.

I don't recommend the disc version to play, it's more about to look at the old/early designs for curiosity. You will miss many of the new features/fixes the game got in the latest updates. I also lost some of the ng+ costumes and the new "uncensored" ones and had to repurchase from npc (with all the vitcoin lose...). I recommend to make a backup of your savegame before try.

I just used the uncensored holiday rabbit the entire game. The costume is a gift that just keeps on giving. You can play NG+ on version 1.0 by down patching and staying offline.

The reason why it's obvious censorship is that it specifically always aim the same body part to be more covered...and never less. Where are the ''artistic changes'' about the upper back, shoulder pad, legs, heels, neck garments, arms, colors variant on other parts? There's none, it's always about covering more of that booty/crotch and cleavage. I dont see how censoring outfits would improve the game, it doesnt change anything to the gameplay. This doesn't really feel like censorship. I noticed in some shots the lighting in scenes looks very different and that can affect translucency in clothing. The texturing is much clearer on the updated version too. considering this is a new outfit not available on release, then I'm 100% positive that this is caused by different lighting in the 2 versions.

Same. I don't mind the skirt being less translucent considering other skirt outfits in the game, but I thought it was odd that the skirt on the kunoichi outfit refuses to flap when she leaps. Something along the lines of "she shows so much already, you guys will find anything to complain about, let it go, *insults masculinity*, yada yada yada..." Meanwhile they miss the whole point. If it was such a small thing that didn't matter, why censor it in the first place? And why do people take the side of pro censorship and be clear about it in the comments if it's such a small thing that doesn't matter? Also, by putting in these tiny censorships that they know fans hate, they are giving their fans the finger. If you notice, cleavage is never completely exposed. There's always little lines or laces covering up. Sure, very, very small lines and laces. But why put them there instead of giving fans what they want. Makes me wonder if they were originally in the game but left out because of the censorship stuff 🤔. The others, along with any NG+ items, will be removed if you uninstall the updates and play offline. So that sucks…but on the bright side you have the original unedited suits and the kunoichi ones. Hope this helps.

The Black and White Kunochi dresses will down patch to 1.00 if you save them, but not the boss rush mode or red and white swimsuits. Just did this last night. Finish your first playthrough then update game.

Play game on updated version Finish game. Start new game plus. Save at camp in New game plus. Delete game completely. Remove connection from ps5 Reinstall game from disc. And stay offline completely or it'll force update.

savegame keeps the flags on what is locked and what is unlocked, while the disc has the same content they unlock with the updates and the savegame data is compatible, you can play the content on v1.000 (disc)

immediately upon downloading the patch these are unlocked. Which makes sense, since we now know they were already on the disc!!! Damn Sony preventing us from getting things that we already should have had.

@@Darksider087 Yep just download patch 1.003. Receive the outfits, then go back to patch 1.000. Game functions as normal. You will not get the new red, or white outfit from Roxxane though. Just a heads up.

no the update changes all the old outfits, only way to keep them unaltered is to stay in v1

nope its either play the game in 1.00 and have it play like shit because of the parry/counter timings among other things but have your uncensored outfits or patch the game, have it play better but outfits be censored.....that's our choices here and it sucks

Yes, many games put DLC down the line in the early build of a game, locked away to be released later.

I am pretty sure it's not censored (because it wouldn't make any sense since some outfits are much more revealing and it's so random) but a design choice for real, but I really don't get this choice. It looks more interesting with the transparent version. Also because the material of the dress looks more dynamic and not so flat compared to the digital version. Just from a fashion-design perspective I would choose the disc style version any time. I don't get it.....

Old uncensored outfits and new which comes with patch..and yet those what can unlock via patch and "uncensor" by downpatching.. but this is actually great!! The disc version takes away a lot of features that you won't find in the patched version. Plus, you'll need to turn off your internet connection for the ps5 in order to prevent them from forcing the patch on your console regardless of the settings.

Personally I prefer the digital, like the outfit is provocative enough without visible cheeks. But I understand where everyone’s coming from. It’s unnecessary especially considering in BG3 you can walk around fully naked, man or woman with everything just hanging out.

I actually don't even mind the darkening of the skirt on this one. You can still see through but barely. Which... kinda makes it more sexy. The overly transparent one is just to blunt. Might as well wear a way more revealing suit at that point.

because they lied to you, Kunoichi was always on the disc just locked and hidden, the update only unlocks it in the game
