Empires don't like trading monthly minerals for instant ones in my experience.Even if they did accept it, Jon would probably be giving them enough cash to bankroll a nice fleet and then as soon as they went into deficit it would cancel then trade agreement

Jon, the dangerous AI tech is Autonomous Ship Intellects, it has the same icon but red background. Or Sapient Combat Simulations. Positronic AI has zero downsides, as of the current patch.

Jon, you can create the colony ship from the planet you want to colonize, then just select the planet and race you want the ship to be created from and it will automatically travel to and colonize the planet you issued the order from.

You should consider designing defense platforms. You can then specialist your starbases to hard counter the empire you're defending against. It's especially useful at the wormhole where they can't bypass it with jump drives.

Jon, you really should give people food, even free of charge. You were maxxed out on it for many episodes until you started trading it I think you should gift people a certain amount of food per month once you're capped so you can easily improve relations with your neighbors who are all horrified of you.

I had the Yuhlt precursor storyline, but the home system spawned in the territory of a fallen empire who cracked their homeworld with a Colossus. They also cracked three of the four worlds in the home system of another fallen empire. But as soon as I crack fiver of their worlds in a row, suddenly I become the bad guy. How is that fair?

No positronic AI is simply the new name for sapient AI. It is however no longer dangerous, instead, the dangerous AI tech is the one that allows you to have sentient combat tech. The description of that tech makes it quite clear why it would be; essentially you're putting sentient AI through millions of different violent combat situations to test strategies. Essentially you're torturing a sentient being everytime you use one of those so it's not surprising that might cause an uprising.

Tipp: Only your primary species gets the trait from "Mind over Matter" and "Transcendence" but you can change that by changing the living standard to "Assimilation" the Problem is that takes way to long (only 1-4 pops per year of the species). You can speed it up by waiting 1 year so at least one gets the trait and then genetically modify the rest it still takes about 24 month of society research but it is way faster than 1-4 pops a year. i would wait though untill you have "Transcendence" because otherwise you have to do it twice.

The company that makes HOI, Paradox, has many other strategy games as well, EU4 is one of them. Its a really fucking good game, just like check one of Arumba's lets plays of it And as for why HOI is shit, just a few reasons: (1) no money in the economy, so a factory-based economy means you can keep on fighting when realistically your country shouldve been bankrupt ages ago (2) you cant choose who to trade with (3) combat sucks, combat width doesnt make sense for the time period, neither does the reinforcement mechanics, etc. (4) have you played the late game? its basically as slow as trench warfare, nobody likes that many more reasons i cant remember right now
