You know, I'd love to see something like an actual bog-standard default settings run... just because it's been so long since I've seen the base difficulty, I'd like to have Lath steamroll the whole galaxy for fun and profit. Maybe a One System Challenge and having to force everyone else to be his vassals and/or his subordinates in a hegemony as fast as possible?

Lath, if you REALLY want to buy the galaxy, start turning more of your habitats into refineries. Strategic resources are the gold & silver of Stellaris. Their value almost never decreases because of scarcity and they can buy you some things that energy credits just won't. I've managed to get the AI to trade 10s of thousands of alloys to me just by offering a few thousand strategic resources. Hell, in many of my games the AI has essentially built my fleets and megastructures for me lol. And the irony points you get for conquering xenos with the fleets made from the alloys they gave you is pretty sweet.

As I was playing stellaris today, someone hired marauders to raid someone else. The route the marauders chose was through a system that was part of a marauder group. So marauders blew up other marauders. Smooth

You actually picked the perfect time to do this type of game: the patch will restrict you to building Corp Embassies on planets that only have 50 or more pops on their planets, and the alloy demands for robots might slow your plans too. Be curious for you to do a robot-fixated run with the patch.

Lathrix when the end game crisis spawns can you please wait for it to gain some footing or until it attacks you or your allies to fight it. I find it a much more interesting play through of stellaris when you don’t just immediately crush the endgame like when you played as the divine planet protectors, otherwise it is kind of boring and repetitive

Empire idea: a lithoid hivemind with the ringworld start. Use the ringworld for research, nothing but research (and maybe some alloys). The rest of the empire is thus free to be used for mining and stuff. Why lithoids? Because I like lithoids, and plus 50% habitability could be useful for expanding. Why a hivemind? Again, because I like hiveminds, but also because I believe hiveminds don't use trade value (correct me if I'm wrong), meaning you won't be tempted to go for a trading ringworld, which is a bit of a risk given how good ringworlds are at everything.

As odd as it may seem~ being at 1.15 production speed then going back to 1.00 is only a 13% percent relative decrease~ all and all not bad to loose. IE -.15/1.15 is -13%. I mean obviously wrt to the new state it is 15% loss per what one would consider the common sense answer.
