its good seeing you collaborate with Shane. I wish the audio quality is as good as the video. Is there a decent 'action mic' out there?

The whole mic action cam thing sucks, mostly because GoPro has a hideous adapter for it. The adapter is almost as big as the action cam itself. If shooting a specific video, I'll use a lav mic to my phone, but for a 5-hour day, it's just a nightmare to blend all that video. Interestingly though, if I had used a Garmin VIRB Ultra 30 I could have paired a Bluetooth Mic to it, and that would have worked beautifully. But alas, didn't do that. :-/ Also, tons of footage was totally useless from an audio standpoint on this that didn't make the final edit. Shane had the same problem. :(

Some of it was probably stabilization added in post to clean things up. For the descent I hand-held the GoPro, so it bumped a bit on my handlebars.

COROS helmet, but yup, spot on, bone conduction speaker (and even mic up above). Uses Bluetooth to phone.

If you've done a review of it, would please point me to it? I'd like to know what you think about it and whether it is good for listening to voice prompts for directions from Komoot or other apps that run on a smartphone. Thanks.

It seems like the audio was echoing inside the case for some reason (meaning, the wind was). Super annoying. I believe I need to tweak the mic setup to manual. Sucks.
