Hello, Anja! ❤️ A bit of explanation on Stenka Razin 😉. He was a leader of Don Cosacs uprising against tzar back in 17th century. A song Volga, Volga has him as a main hero. I still remember my grandma singing it, especially the words “Volga, Volga, mat’ rodnaja, ti ne videla podarka ot Donskova Cosaca”. Hugs from Slovenia👐

Somebody has messed up the English translation...unfortunately. Translation doesn't do justice to this song. This is a wonderful version. As a little boy, I listen to my uncle sing this to me as a goodnight song in our language...so long ago and so sweet memory. Thank You.

Because his man said he is becoming soft, and basicly unfit to lead them in their war. Stenka Razin is a real historical figure, and an intresting one at that, tho that particular story about him is just a legend.
