Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Mussorgsky, Glinka, Scriabin, Stravinsky, Borodin...I'm an American, and I would say you and the Germans (Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Brahms, Schubert, Wagner, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Handel, Strauss, etc.) are neck and neck...you've given the world a lot. As an American I was never fond of communism, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the courage and valor of the Red Army without which victory in WWII would not have been possible. I hope for the day our two great nations will have an eternal friendship, because I believe we have much in common. As for the music the great soul of the Russian people shines in the music of your composers. Do you listen to any American music? I mean the good music, not the trash that pollutes our airwaves today. There is much of our older popular music that is very good, even beautiful. Have you listened to any of it?

Most of songs people listen today are just garbage, they're all just about sex, drugs, crimes. Its just unpleasant to listen too. But yes I do enjoy some old American goodies.
